There doesn’t seem to be a set pattern unless Harmony wills it during pivotal moments. I was thinking about highstorms and how it and the mists are magic influenced weather phenomena. High storms can be predicted by a series of math equations and algorithms. Given that information do you think it’s likely that given enough time a scadrian could study the mists and learn to predict when they will happen similar to storm wardens? Mist Wardens? 1
Wadders Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 They are both controlled at least to an extent by an intelligence which makes them tricky to predict. The highstorms by the stormfather and the mists by harmony. I think harmony uses the mists directly to influence events a bit (seems a bit of a coincidence that the mists are present whenever wax has to do something especially important). The stormfather can and has done the similar in the past but I think his nature makes that an exception. As that is the case i think it will be harder for any pattern in the mists to be detected. There is also the possibility they will change as Harmony becomes Discord. 1
