Keats.The.Listener He, Him Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 So for those of you who live in Hurricane country, have been inspired by our shared reading to watch the Storm blow in? Hurricane Beryl is blowing in to Texas this week and I’ve been sitting in my garage facing the origin watching the outer bands of the storm come in. Guess I’m a stupid light eyes. 2
Through The Living Glass She/They Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 Mm, I don't live that far east anymore, but I always hated having to scrape the crem off of everything after the storm (aka cleaning the dirt, leaves, and other debris off the driveway). Now I just have to clean the crem off the car occasionally (stupid western mud rain).
Pineap-spider Pineapple/Spider Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 I’ve never been that far south, but does remind me of this one time I went on a rafting trip. I had the opportunity to swim and kayak through some big rapids, and the suspense of hitting a big wave plus the experience of the crash always has been my basis for being hit by the storm wall.
