@Usseewa Without a quote, does the at Mention notification come through?

 

As far as I know, the only time two separate notifications happen for one event is when a post is both liked and quoted - otherwise the system will not "double-event" when a post has both a quote and an @ mention. But that was why I wanted to test the mention after you had already "recevied" the quote notification in case the notification's status as read/unread made a difference. 

Edit - to add @Chaos to the conversation as a test for:

I don't think editing in a mention has ever pinged anyone. So that is likely the thing. 

Please reply if you were notified by an edit-in mention without a quote box involved.
