  1. 1. What do you want to happen to this RP when the current plotline ends?

    • Start another RP of the same characters, like a season 2
      3
    • Keep going with no plan at all
      0
    • Make new characters and have an RP of a similar concept, but, effectively with a new party
      3
    • End the RP (THIS ONE BETTER NOT WIN BUT I FELT I HAD TO ADD IT ANYWAYS)

“Of course I won’t underestimate them! I’m sure I’ll learn a lot if I take one ape apart. But we have railguns, magic ice crystals, homing daggers, teleportation, shadow magic, a bunch of skilled fighters, an actor, laser guns, and all of my technology. Our metaphorical toolbox is so full I literally cannot imagine what could stop everything. We couldn’t defend against ourselves, if we were copied somehow - I’m not sure it’s possible to resist everything we can do.”

Tenth nodded. "At least consider, though, that these people had the entire multiverse at their disposal, and they chose these. But I see your point."

Nick‘s eyes widen. “You have clockwork battle androids? That is actually really cool, though it could be a bit problematic for us. I assume Telecorp took the plans from a steampunk universe.” SIMON, of course, immediately begins drawing up plans for jamming the gears.

"Well, they were around long before Telecorp. A man in Khelik invented them, which is basically across the world from us, and past six or seven war-torn provinces."

"Electricity in odd pulses messes with the tiny gears and sometimes melts them, hence the swords. Bullets are near useless, as they have plates of steel and kevlar around their vitals. Flamethrowers work, though fuel for them is expensive. Generally, our swords are a good way to kill them, but it's hard to get close enough to hit them, when they're backed up by someone with a gun."

Hehe this is from a game.

Named “Bronze Automaton”

"You seem smart."

Nick looks at him. “Your world’s technologies are somewhat inconsistent, at least to me. All the things your droids are good at my robots cannot hope to accomplish, and vice versa. Opening doors is shockingly hard, as is seeing well enough to not walk into things. But thinking is a thing my computers are good at. Honestly, we should find a droid and put SIMON in it.”

“Ah, but we do have special weapons and methods! If these are steam powered, I believe Kaleb’s moon crystals will be even more effective against them than they are against humans. We can supercool some liquid nitrogen, then get frost within the steam turbines.”

"Moon crystals? What do those do?"

"Well, they were invented before Telecorp. But I see your point. Sometimes soldiers question the need for these, but if you can catch someone when they haven't prepared for an Auton attack, they're not going to fare well against them."

Deven pauses.

"If you wish to know, I do have some training in fighting them, though Trelsen is much better." He points to another sword-bearer a few paces away.

Nick's eyes widen in both interest and worry as he hears the capabilities of the automatons. "That is more formidable than I was expecting, but I suspect we have the capacity to deal with them. The moon crystals act as thermodynamics-defying heat capacitors, so I believe we can ruin the steam engines. Wait, you have Kevlar and titanium without electric motors?"

"We... We have electric motors. Those, however, are really expensive to make. The clockworks are an old design, but still functional. Though, year after year they become more and more obsolete. Autons with electric motors are things we call High Auton, and if you ever have to face down one of those, it'll take some real power to bring it down. I once saw one take a grenade, detonated right under it's feet, and keep walking. Albeit, with shorter legs. To be honest, the ways those are constructed is beyond myself, but with your laser guns and stuff, I'm pretty sure we could fight some Lesser Auton if we had to."

"Anyways, what's the plan for the... Heist? Infiltration? Assault?"

Nick nods, satisfied with the explanation and feeling a bit embarrassed for forgetting that manufacturing costs used to be expensive. "I'll be on the look out, although could probably take a grenade and keep walking, with shorter legs. And I suppose clockwork is unaffected by EMPs. I say we split into a few groups - legal, social, and physical. I'm not the tactician here, but I think I could serve any group well."

"I think that to be smart, though it may leave us spread thin. I can try to convince more of the officers to my side, as most of them are open-minded. We can arrest Telecorp workers if they come out of the building. The better fighters among you should try to go into the building, though should stay stealthy if possible, as fighting is quite loud."

"Then, any others among you should probably head to the press and try to convince them of your side of the story. The news is here and probably filming our workings on the explosion as a 'great new story.'"

“That sounds good; we’ll have some favorable coverage beforehand.” He prompts his suit to manufacture another backup of the videos, with wireless internet. Then, pausing, he devotes the remaining manufacturing capacity towards electric motors of various sizes.

Aki frowned, "What is a sword going to do against it if it's covered in plates of steel? Does it have weak points where to plates don't cover everything? I'm not going to snap my katana on something impenetrable. "

“They’re not steel. Steel is weak in comparison to the metal they’re made from. But yes, I imagine your current katana is insufficient for damaging them. A nice thing about facing robots made from titanium, though, is that if you destroy them, you have a bunch of titanium that you can make things with.”

Nick shakes his head. “No, I believe the swords these people have disrupt the constructs somehow. But if you are worried about destroying your katana, we can create a backup from titanium. It would be lighter and stronger, but potentially the wrong shape. I don’t know whether such a thing is acceptable or compatible with your training.”

He shrugged, "If I can get my hands on anything long, sharp, and strong enough to break those things, I'll be fine."

SIMON, having checked the internet, corrects Nick. “Apparently steel is actually harder than titanium - so he might be better off with his own sword, especially if weight is used advantageously.” Nick, surprised by the fact, relays it to Aki. “Supposedly your steel will be harder than the titanium. Titanium is really light while being pretty strong, so it can be used to make things that wouldn’t move or would collapse if they were heavier, but it seems it’d make a terrible sword. There are other metals that would make you a stronger sword, but titanium is not one of them.”

“I do hope that you are good with that blade. I am… well, combat does some odd things to a scarred man like me.” He shrugs. “ Turns out, enough blows to the head, it actually does something.”

”No matter. We should be fine, as all of you have skills that they will be unable to predict. So, those of you that are coming with me in the assault on the actual Teleporter, what is our plan of attack?”

”I will be able to down a few Autons with my teleportation. Get in close and remove their armor.”
