My guess is you were born on a plane that was coming from California, because I seem to remember that if you’re born on a plane, whatever state that plane was last on the ground in is where you’re born.

Disregard what was in the spoiler, I did some reading and found that I was wrong. Your place of birth when you are on an airplane is apparently “In the Air” for city and… OHHHH

Okay, right, you were on a plane TO California, because the State Department apparently puts your place of birth as the next place the plane lands.

Meaning that number 2 is the lie.

I was born in the state of California, but my parents and grandparents wanted me to be a Texas kid. So my grandmother came from out of state with a sealed test tube of Texas soil, and got permission to place it underneath the operating table. Hence the phrasing.

2. Seems unlikely since (as far as I know) I haven’t seen what preservation looks like other than just mist (I’m not countin Vin or Harmony, so that might be where I’m wrong)

Think he was described as short with black hair. Sazed described his corpse in the pre-chapter bits in Hero of Ages, and pretty sure Kell describes him in Secret History at least once.
