Yeah but with copper you have to learn things twice. I'd go connector all the way because I'm kinda a loner and being able to make friends easily would be awesome.

I went with steelrunner.  While all of the abilities have their own special draw...and all would be incredibly useful...quick is deadly.

 

I feel that speed is something that would be pretty easy to store (while reading, while riding in a plane/car/bus/train/etc, while watching TV, while sitting in my office chair at work)

 

You could get places around town really fast without a car...you could really win almost any fight...finishing housework and yard work in record time would be pretty boss...

 

While Skimmer is a close second for me...I can't help but dwell on the really practical Subsumer.  The money and time spent eating could be totally minimized...Long backpacking trips in the back country of national parks (something I'm rather fond of doing) would become a lot easier...I would also become the world's greatest competitive eater.

Well, I have a Feruchemic bendalloy tattoo, so that.

I really like food.

Also I'm not sure, but I think you could use Feruchemical bendalloy to store (and avoid) poisons. Or alcohol, for that matter. Could make for a fun party trick.

I am personally leaning towards no because it specifically states nutrition, but that is my own opinion with nothing to back it up other than that.

I'd pick Duralumin, due to the Coppermind description; able to reduce other peoples' awareness of me at will when filling the metalmind. I'm wondering if there is a set pace at which Feruchemists fill their metalminds, or if you can fill it at a faster rate; if so, then it would be perfect for slipping into places unnoticed, just flaring (is that the right word for quickly filling a metalmind?) Duralumin and walking through the door without anyone paying attention. Using my filled Duraluminmind would also be useful in drawing attention away from others when I need to.

Pretty much everything with feruchemical nicrosil is speculation.

Bendaloy. If there is something tasty around I have dificult to stop eating, but I'm also very lazy quite often and do not want to cook anything. As a subsumer I wouldn't have to and also wouldn't need larger trousers because of the overeating. As a bonus it would be economical, and well... I AM a college student ;)

Bendalloy would be rather good for people who eat to eat. There would never be a fat subsumer! Although, I imagine subsumers putting too much calories in their bendalloyminds and getting anorexic. It's an issue!

It actually feels really weird contemplating bendalloy. How many other metalminds store something that doesn't have a universal "baseline" value? Speed, age, weight, etc. restore to default after the store/tap ends and can never reach 0, but bendalloyminds can presumably store literal nutrition away from your system until tapped. It's weird.

Tough choice between Steel and Tin. Speed or sight? Given my faulty eyes, I had to pick Tin. The ability to see without glasses would be worth it. Interesting question, though. Can you store while sleeping?

I remember from some Sazed dialogue that you can only store wakefulness while sleeping (because obviously storing enough wakefulness automatically knocks you out cold) but I could be wrong.

I have nutrition problems so I choose bendalloy. I would win the Hunger Games!

You have to experience prolonged malnutrition/buy extra helpings of food to store though.

If you don't eat a lot you'll starve yourself by storing.

You actually have to overeat when storing to reach normal levels of satisfaction.

It was tough between Iron and Steel.

 

Steel is cool simply because... well.... you can run fast and... stuff.

 

And then I chose Iron because the thought of being blown away by a small breeze was amusing.

Steel is the best for getting away with stuff and it would be fun to fall upwards.

Now, I've noticed Vin uses a lot of pewter for steel pushing and iron pulling, so therefore you need to have one to make the other one useful.

 

Its the same with being a seer, atuim lets you see what the other person is going to do, but you would probably want some pewter would you not?

I will vote on steel because its just plain cool.
