Voidgaze is kind of one with her white arm tassels.

That was my first thought actually when I read Voidgaze

She did remind me very much of an Epic.

Eh, only because a mysterious red star granted her superpowers at the cost of corrupting her personality. Other than that, there isn't much similarity.

Frankly I think you're looking too hard for connections. ;):P

I just love Steelheart so much that I automatically connect everything I see to it. :P

Am I up next in Portland? Posting for Remington taking Alice to the cemetery?

Next you'll be posting your wild Steelheart-Firefight crossover theories again.  <_<  :P

You can definitely do that. If you need me to contribute in any way, just let me know and I'll get something written up. I hate to be the one clogging up progress.

You mean like my theory that, not only do they take place in the same universe, but that Firefight is actually a sequel to Steelheart? :P

I was just planning on having him reflect on how willing she was to come with him, how he's glad he was the one who found her instead of some unsavory hobo (or worse: Lightwards), and how she doesn't say much during the ride, just stares at everything and answers his questions with "yes," "no," or silence. Does that sound right?

Plz, I don't think Brandon Sanderson's ever said anything that would make you think that. :P

"Lady? Lady?'

Chicago Joe looked at the strange woman on the street, who stared back at him with a vacant expression.

"Whatcha doin' out here?" he insisted grumpily. "You stupid or somethin'?"

The woman stared at him a moment more, but she began to speak slowly but deliberately. "I... think," she said firmly. "I am thinking."

Chicago Joe downed a gulp of whiskey, thought about offering her a swig, then decided against it. "Your brain's messed up," he concluded unhelpfully, then turned and headed in the opposite direction.

Yes, that seems about right.

I've got an Atium Seer with a Shardblade and Radiant Shardplate.

Everyone else post their epics that mimic Brandon's Cosmere powers

Summoner...hmm I can't think of anyone who he resembles. :P

Mine too. And Parity a bit.

Huh. Turns out there is a character she could run into who would be worse than an average hobo and Lightwards combined. ;)

Eh, not sure about Parity. Sure, her powers are weird, but not Epically weird. :P

I know. There's no telling what nasty things Chicago Joe might say to her. :P

There's actually a fairly solid chance of Remington knowing about Chicago Joe. I imagine that Chicago Joe's the kind of roaming Epic who leaves an impression in people's minds; his statue turns up in all manner of unexpected places, and is known for randomly coming to life and shouting insults at people. :P

It actually would not surprise me one bit if Remington had shot at him before.

Now that you mention it, he probably has. The number of times he was shot at depends on how many times he came to life and shouted insults at Mrs. Sadry. :P

I added some dialog for Alice. Tell me if I should change it.

The post is fine.

...

Oh who am I kidding, that post is awesome. :D I just read it for the fourth time, and am still regretting my Quota-cursed inability to upvote it. The post beautifully illustrates both Remington's internal hardness and his compassion.

Just all-around awesome. :)

So I'm working on a post that brings Altermind to the Sadry's for the meeting. Just so you Emoire people know and can get ready too. This ones from Intervention's perspective too. :)

So two scenes I'm involved in that I'm waiting on, just to remind you:

Voidus/Fatebreaker at the zoo

Vondra in the Dalles.

BusDriver/Reader post up!

Reader is very practiced at the sympathy-that-just-makes-the-other-person-feel-worse technique.

After that post, I feel Reader has graduated, going from this to this

It doesn't make him any less of a slontze, though. Still, it does call for cake.

I didn't know his real name, so he's Kevin now. And no, he can't have any cake. :P

Ah, Reader's just fine with no cake. Besides, you're the one eating it, and he knows it's your least favorite flavor  ;)  :P

Nope. I'm not the one eating it at all. I made my own cake from certified organic ingredients. (He probably knows that's because I'm allergic to food coloring, but almost everyone I know knows that, so HA!) :P

I just realized that an assassination attempt on Reader would have to be a surprise, otherwise he'd know everything about it.

"Here, Reader, I refilled your wine goblet." "Nope. You poisoned it. You drink it" *forces it down person's thoat*

"Here, Reader, I made some cake for you." "Nope. It's explosive cake. You can just take that outside and ask Quicksilver if he wants any."

"Here, Reader, I'm your new bodyguard for today." "Nope. You're going to shoot me. Why don't you go tell Vondra about your plan to kill me?"

You know who might actually be able to kill him? Murphy. His Murphionic field would ensure Reader would choke on his wine, trip down the stairs, and accidentally strangle himself with his own necktie.

Knowing Murphy's powers, Reader would be sure to stay as far away from him as is conveniently possible.

Meaning: if Murphy hung out in the wine shop 24/7, Reader might have to start drinking grape juice

Seeing his discomfort, I have a feeling corrupted!Murphy would follow Reader around. (Though it would be amusing to see a despondent Reader angrily slurping down a juicebox. :P)

Awwww but do you really want to stain all of Reader's white shirts? (I want this to happen at some point: Reader walks into a room, and, smacking himself for forgetting his wine, angrily stabs his straw into a juice box and starts sucking  )
