I'm here in the US

They don't lie to you
They don't go as in depth as they should but that's cause they need more funding
But they do their best

That's simply not true lol. Every person in my entire school has definitely read at least 2 books. 

I know this because we all had to annotate heart of darkness for a grade.

The US school system does have issues (it's built to break students down), but it could be worse.
