I’m relatively new here, I’ve had an account for a while, although it was mostly just for liking posts and stuff. I’m still in high school, so I’m not on here often. My name on here is WhyEverNot_8, but that’s fairly long, so just feel free to call me Why, and if you come up with something else, just let me know. I have read a large number of Cosmere books, I’m currently working my way through the novellas (I’m on The Frugal Wizard’s Handbook for Surviving Medieval England) I enjoy reading which has led me to want to be a book editor/writer. I am in my school’s Creative Writing class and am working on a book of my own (no title yet, sorry) I have D&D sessions quite often with some good friends of mine, and I play a lot of video games (Tears of the Kingdom, Destiny 2, No Man’s Sky, Hollow Knight, Monster Hunter: World, Horizon Zero Dawn, Minecraft, just to name a few.) I enjoy learning new grammatical structures, but I still can’t figure out where to put the dang punctuation when you’re ending a sentence with parentheses. )Sorry for the long-winded introduction haha) Have a nice day, Why

Wasing the wanting of saying welcome!

Would you rather be able to have a unsealed duraluminmind in real life that let you understand foreign languages, or a Feruchemical medallion that let you store and tap heat at will?

Both?

I’d probably have to go with the Duralumind, because I don’t run into foreign languages a lot but when I do it’s a friend saying something in Italian and asking me if I know what it means, so I think it would be funny to flabbergast her by responding in perfect Italian. I will say that there is that downside of it being you understanding the native language of the land, so I would have to figure that out.

If there is no workaround for the languages downside, I would pick the Heat Metalmind. I live in Northeast Texas, and in summer it’s always sweltering and in winter it is always freezing. I can store heat in summer to stay cool and tap it in winter to stay warm. Then my friend can stop making fun of me for wearing a jacket in winter, lol.

by the way, could someone explain shardbuddies?

I don’t understand it fully, but I think that you can PM someone asking them if they want to be shardbuddies, and they respond.

I’m pretty sure there’s more context to it, but that’s all I know.
