When he came up from his duck, Aaron wasn’t in front of him any more. He swings the axe in a controlled arc at Kaza, making sure he’ll be prepared for a counter.

Aaron ignores him, pressing forward again in a rush of swings. He was learning how best to swing so Kaza couldn’t dodge, but he wasn’t too good at it yet.

He screams as the axe slams home, but he keeps his grip on the knife. He stands, gritting his teeth, wraps Aaron in a hug, then slams the knife into Aaron's back, bringing the knife just up to where he wouldnt die, but he would be useless.

He should have been paralyzed, but his spine got severed wrong, so it just reformed instead. His bones are a little broken on his back, and his bone is showing, even though it cauterized itself.
