I flipped a coin for it.

Gift grew longer and sharper, slicing into the chimera’s flank. Jenny’s dagger flew true, piercing the monster’s eye, driving through and into the brain. As soon as it did, the monster burst into dust.

“My baby!” the woman shrieked.

Edgar crawled over to Jenny, leaving a blood trail behind him. He brushed the hair from her face, ignoring his own pain. “Are you ok?” He whispered.

Elsie walked over to Terrance. "Guys, I don't think Terrance is okay." She yelled.

Jenny, still struggling to breathe, held up a thumbs up. She looked upwards, seeing something both reassuring and terrifying. The crunching sound hadn’t come from any of her bones; it had come from the window cracking.

She’d deal with that fear later. Jenny stumbled to her feet and went to Terrance, holding out the last of her ambrosia. He seemed to be in very bad shape.

”Please eat this.”

Her voice was still pretty wheezy.

He didn't, though whether he couldn't or wouldn't was unclear.

Edgar crawled away quickly, reaching Terrance. “That’s not going to work, it’s not strong enough or fast acting enough. He needs the Gorgon’s blood.

"Heck this crap." She snatched it from her hand, and attempted to force feed it to Terrance.

Just, uh, ignore this.

Jenny nodded and immediately grabbed her vial of the blood. Uncorking it, she tried to pour it in Terrance’s mouth.

Jenny pulled Elsie away from Terrance to get her out of the way. She was a bit rough about it since she needed to move quickly. She felt bad, but didn’t have the time for anything else.

“It’s…not going to work. He needs Gorgon’s blood.” Edgar’s voice was weak from blood loss.

Elsie left, the adrenaline fading. She needed to find a cubby to cry in.

Hey, what's going to happen with Echidna?

Uhh…any ideas? I’m drawing a blank on what to do. She could just flee?

Jenny sat back on her heels, finally managing to catch her breath. The blood should start healing Terrance immediately. She looked to the side and saw Ed there, bleeding again. She held out her ambrosia to him. His leg wounds seemed like they were really bad.

He took it hesitantly, then ate it. His pain faded some, though it was still quite strong. “Do you need some?”

@Weaver of Lights

Terrance seemed to improve, shaking less and breathing better.

Elsie used the elevator, and got to the bottom of the arch.  She found a convenient tabe, climbed under it, and sobbed. She had just helped kill something.

“I wasn’t injured, just had the wind knocked out of me.”

Jenny tried to stretch and winced.

”I probably have some nasty bruises now, though.”

She glanced at the window again and shuddered. She’d been so close to shattering that glass and plunging to her death.

Jenny was very glad they had killed Medusa. This would’ve gone very differently otherwise.

She looked over her shoulder to see the elevator doors closing with Elsie inside.

”Wait-“

Jenny dashed over, but wasn’t able to get there before the elevator left. She spammed the button, anxiously waiting for another one to arrive. Elsie couldn’t be alone.

Is there something for Jenny to grab, like what happened after you all killed the cyclops?

Elsie sobbed hysterically underneath a table while curled in the fetal position.

She forgot to get Sword, thanks for the reminder  I’ll just retcon it and say she got it. And I’m not sure what the chimera would leave behind.

Jenny tightly wrapped an arm around Ed, trying to support him as well as she could. It was good that Terrance was standing. That gorgon blood really had worked quickly.

The elevator dinged, finally arriving. She rushed in, waiting for the others to join her before spamming the close door button.

Ok. I was just wondering if that was a normal thing, or if only some monsters did that.
