Mailliw73 he/him Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Max's post is up. I'd say mail-Mi is up next, but Joe could go too. I'm excited to be expanding.
Voidus Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 I have three simple character ideas. Tell me your opinions. 1. Can climb any surface. Basically friction manipulation. Can climb walls and ceilings. 2. Instinctively knows and can produce with whistles the natural frequency of any object, causing resonance. 3. Can create an avatar for himself, which copies motions. It is completely tangible. I probably won't use all three of these, but the natural frequency one and probably the climber I will be using. I have a similar Epic to the second who does it with their hands but I like these I'll post a selection of my Epics here for Dalles shortly, anyone can take them if they want a POV otherwise they'll mostly just be used as canon fodder.

Really? I tried to come up with something original.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 30, 2014 Author Posted September 30, 2014 I'll come up with a character for The Dalles in the morning. Rest well, all, and dream of….well, who am I to tell you what to dream of? Dream of whatever you want. 1
Voidus Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Really? I tried to come up with something original. Considering how many Epics I have it's hard not to have some similar powers
Tulir he/him Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Here is a list of Epics that I may or may not use in the Dallies. Aura Passive: Has a circling aura of colors, it completely surrounds her. While inside the aura, it projects a slightly different visual location to everyone. Also, slightly resists and pushes objects that enter it, to try to divert them away from Aura Secondary: She can sacrifice the passive to completely remove the aura for a period of time and attack with tendrils of color. Florist Primary power-can accelerate plant growth to extreme levels, and control how the plants grow Secondary Power-can control how plants move, florakinesis Passive-life sense up to 50 feet away from Florist Event Horizon Primary-can summon miniature black holes and toss them Secondary-Event Horizon can change the gravity of an region Passive-ish: Event Horizon can control the amount of gravity affecting him Water epic I forgot the rules and name of, post it eventually. 2
Mailliw73 he/him Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Considering how many Epics I have it's hard not to have some similar powers Very true. Tulir, I like them. 1
Voidus Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 I'll throw the Admin in there. The Admin: Can ban people from a given area, applies only to the people he mentally selects, he can't ban everyone only people he knows and they can't already be in the area. Can only select one area at a time but can ban as many people as he wants. And I think Polarity, Fetch and the Truant as well. Truant: Illusionist with personal invisibility but his only illusion is to create an exact duplicate of himself 5 feet in front of him.Polarity: Can cause anything she touches to become magnetic.Fetch: Can teleport any item he has touched back to him, uses throwing knives. 1
Mrs. Voidus she/her Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Definitely excited for the Dalles A whole new town to flood with my Epics. Agreed 1
Voidus Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Mrs. Voidus is going to take Stitch over to the Dalles, and is taking The great Bounce (Now renamed as Captain Bounce) who is already there.
Edgedancer he/him Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Harmony, we are growing, aren´t we. I like the idea of new threaths for multiple town, although I´m not entirely sure yet, if I have the time to also do something in the Dalles, I´ll think some more about it. Also, welcome to the new guys, one of them even got a more Epic name than their Epic.
Kobold King he/him Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 I'm excited to be expanding. Indeed, it's so exciting to be fleshing the world out so much. It looks like there's a busy day in front of me today, but I'll try to get things posted when I get the opportunity. Namely, an Oregon post and a bio for Stephen Vondra, Mayor of The Dalles. Essentially, he's an ex-military vanilla man who keeps power in the town through a combination of coordinated assault teams and minor Epics working for the police force. His main goal in the RP will be building a giant statue of Remington Springfield in the city center. Or something like that. I'm still working out the details. 2

Now I really want to participate in the Dalles, could you need a trusted right hand man? Together with the Halloween special (soon ) that´s really a lot. (By the way, I nominate to name it either What happened in Calamityville or What happened in you Nightmares. ) 2

(By the way, I nominate to name it either What happened in Calamityville or What happened in you Nightmares. ) I was already planning on "What Happened in Calamityville," as it happens. Great minds think alike, I suppose. Vondra works with Epics, but despises them utterly. He'd never trust one as his right hand man, but you're more than welcome to create his trusted vanilla lieutenant. Or his trusted vanilla deputy who just received Epic powers, if we wanted to get really angsty.
Voidus Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 What happened in Calamityville (May cause insomnia) 2

My character will be a young woman who loves pugs and whose life goal is killing Nighthound once and for all..... Oh, wait. That'd be a self-insert. Never mind. I really love the idea of a badchull vanilla mayor. Maybe my character could be a member of the police force or something similar. 4

On another note, The day after tomorrow the dentist has to do a follow up operation on my teeth, so my attandance might be spotty on that day. Edgedancer he/him Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 So even under the sin of the double post, I feel the need to ask: Do we make a (probably flimsy) plan or do we just pants the PP Nighthound conversation.
Voidus Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 So even under the sin of the double post, I feel the need to ask: Do we make a (probably flimsy) plan or do we just pants the PP Nighthound conversation. Pants it?
Kobold King he/him Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 (edited) Non-POV Epic for The Dalles:ArsenalFormerly known as Daniel Dewhickey, Arsenal was an army chaplain who settled in Oregon shortly after Calamity first appeared. He aided in the National Guard's futile efforts at resisting Epics, but gained powers himself before the fighting's end.He possesses the ability to create duplicates of any piece of technology he has personally seen before. Having been in the military, he is thus capable of reproducing a number of different weapons and combat vehicles. His ability has kept The Dalles' police force stocked with state-of-the-art technology for a little over a year now.His weakness is the sign of the cross as it is used in Christian iconography, and it is publicly known that Mayor Vondra keeps a cross hanging in his office just in case the Epic turns on him. Dewhickey--I see what you did there. Hmmm....the chaplain thing inspires me. What would you say to a badchull female minister? 1
Kobold King he/him Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Dewhickey--I see what you did there. Hmmm....the chaplain thing inspires me. What would you say to a badchull female minister? What do you mean? I have no idea what you're talking about. That sounds awesome. Epic or vanilla? 1
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 30, 2014 Author Posted September 30, 2014 What do you mean? I have no idea what you're talking about. That sounds awesome. Epic or vanilla? Vanilla. I think Voidus has the Epic thing covered. I'm thinking she's related to one of the rangers up near Mount Hood. Her brother, maybe? Or maybe she was a ranger who felt called to The Dalles after Koschei died? 2
Voidus Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Vanilla. I think Voidus has the Epic thing covered. What makes you say that. *Slides 1000+ pages of Epic ideas under nearby cupboard* 3
