Kobold King he/him Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 For some reason I can´t help but imagine Lightwards writing his own version of the Diagram. I actually like to think that Aldo could make a vague Diagram if he was exposed to Upgrade for long enough. His power essentially acts as a form of intellect-based precognition.
Edgedancer he/him Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Agreed. I think it's better, story-wise, if we have Epics joining CorpseMaker's faction before Project Amber is enacted. It drives home the fact that there's a war coming, that they're going to ally with whoever they think is the most powerful, and that, without a precog among them, not one of our characters can know the future. (Am I the only one who finds it odd that there aren't any precogs currently in this game? Or did Funtimes' sound beating of Fortuity in the opening post make people decide it just ain't worth it? ) The bigger they are the more spoils we get afterwards, especially for the empire given that the key-player of project-amber is Lucentia. Well, we had one. Appart from that, and this is only my personal opinion, Precogs are very hard to do in this format, everything longer than a couple of scenes is impossible, becuase we pants 90 % and telling the Precog everything important you´re doining beforehand, which tecnically you should do so his powers can take proper effect, would be way to much work. 3

I just had an idea for a precog who thinks she's all big and bad….and then she walks into Portland. "What? What's going on?" She paused, drawing a few shaky breaths. "It's not there! The future….it's gone!" A young woman looked up from her Macbook with a nervous smile. "Heh. Sorry about that. I try to plan ahead, but it's not really my forte." The precog glared. "This. This is your fault?" "Uh, yeah. Like I said, I'm super sorry." "Remove my weakness from my presence at once!" "It's not your weakness. It's me." The woman took a sip of tea. "I made you a precog, but I didn't really think it through. Even I don't know what I'm going to do most of the time." 5
Fatebreaker he/him Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Yeah, precog scenes are always tricky. So as not to interrupt the flow, should Sandman continue to bug Lightwards(with his own prehistoric expertise), or should he meet Funtimes? Or do something else?

Or do something else? If he speaks to Lightwards at the moment, Lightwards will probably shoo him off. He'd have the most fun finding someone else to talk to, like random Warriors or Nighthound. (Also, if you have any better ideas on a dinosaur for Sandman, just let me know and we can arrange for him to receive one. Masiakosaurus was just the first small predator I could think of that hasn't already been given to an Epic.)
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Does anyone have an Idea for where the Reckoners would set up shop?

So as not to interrupt the flow, should Sandman continue to bug Lightwards(with his own prehistoric expertise), or should he meet Funtimes? Or do something else? Funtimes has two different people clamoring for her attention, so while adding another to the mix might be funny, poor Sandman might not get the attention he wants. There is, however, a kilted man in a Darth Vader mask riding a unicycle and playing a set of flaming bagpipes somewhere nearby…. Edited September 28, 2014 by TwiLyghtSansSparkles 2
Edgedancer he/him Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 I teased the Metal and here are his powers. Primary: Pressure. In a range of 1km he can put pressure on anything from any direction. Imagine a truck (or 50) falling on top of his target just that they can hit from anywhere, this is very much capable of reducing someone to a pile of goo or alternatively pin them to the ground. (Human pinballs are also possible ) He can also use this to keep a "touch" on anything in his range, granting him perfect spacial awarness of everything that is within 1km of him. Secondary: Sound. perfect hearing and the ability control/amplify his voice to selectively decide who hears his voice (or the music from his headphones) and how loud, also within 1km, although this still gets blocked by everything that would block sound normally. And just because he´s broken he can also create a sonic boom around himself by snapping his fingers, this one got a smaller range though. Passive: Super strenght and Invulnerability, because why not. So as not to interrupt the flow, should Sandman continue to bug Lightwards(with his own prehistoric expertise), or should he meet Funtimes? Or do something else? When in doubt start dancing. 4

Tulir he/him Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Mainly Upgrade. Lightwards would kill to get his hands on Upgrade. Granted there are many causes he'd be happy to kill for, but getting his hands on Upgrade is very high on Lightwards' list of priorities. Or, they will be once he learns about his existence. And depending on Lightwards speech, Mundivore might flock to him. So Joe, if it's ok with Twi, we could skip to the scene where Mundivore introduces Quota to Corpsemaker. (This is assuming Quota turned off his power and Mundivore didn't vaporise him... )

He didn't quite turn it off, but he turned it down to such a subtle level that most people would either not notice or dismiss it as being uneasy around Quota. Which is a perfectly valid sentiment.
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Go ahead and post that, And I'll reply to it. The Internet keeps distracting me.
Edgedancer he/him Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 He is quite the heavy. Or shall I say…. Heavy Metal. It essentially took what could only be described as Project Amber on crack to deal with him. (Honestly, it´s more that he gave up because he got bored of sitting in a giant diamond all the time but thanks to his weakness that is essentially the same.) After that he became something akin to the Funtimes of Astoria only that he isn´t undermining Lucentia´s authority. I'm fine with this. He didn't quite turn it off, but he turned it down to such a subtle level that most people would either not notice or dismiss it as being uneasy around Quota. Which is a perfectly valid sentiment. And here I was starting the party for an vaporized Quota.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 28, 2014 Author Posted September 28, 2014 And here I was starting the party for an vaporized Quota. Patience, my friend. Quota's obliteration will happen in due time. And in the meantime, remember that this is how we all feel about Nighthound. 1

Tulir he/him Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 And that post is up! The Quota death is now something I long for, as does Mundivore.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 28, 2014 Author Posted September 28, 2014 Trust me, I long since finished my preperations for his death. I don't think there's a smiley big enough to convey my glee.
Edgedancer he/him Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 And that post is up! The Quota death is now something I long for, as does Mundivore. Just for the record, are there any Epics that will survive this RP? I don't think there's a smiley big enough to convey my glee. I didn´t fnd one either but until then. 3
Tulir he/him Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 (edited) Just for the record, are there any Epics that will survive this RP? Soulswitch? And probably some Prime Invincibility people who don't have their weaknesses around. And aren't encased in diamond. Edited September 28, 2014 by Tulir
Fatebreaker he/him Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 (edited) Darth Unicyclist, from the Clan of Flame-pipes. Prepare to be Bothered. By Dancing Sandman. Edited September 28, 2014 by Fatebreaker 3

Let´s see, that would entail Voidgaze and probably Lucentia , at least not Nighthound. Darth Unicyclist, from the Clan of Flame-pipes. Prepare to be Bothered. By Dancing Sandman. I refer back to the shiny Epic dance party.
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 (edited) I just remembered that CorpseMaker never replied to Scorch and Upgrade either. So, new plan. I'll be putting up my CorpseMaker post tomorrow. Right now, I need to get so sleep. Also, here's some Relevant Info about the War-Wagon and the Normality. War-Wagon: A Heavily Modified Ford Econoline Cargovan E250. It has no Offensive capabilities, but is more Secure than the Presidential Limo. Reinforced Armor plates, and no Windows, andwhere. Only Camera all over, so from inside ou can see anywhere. Minor Gravatonics, that only activate when the Van is tipping, forcing it back down to prevent it from falling Over. Normality: A Heavily Modified Motorbike, with 2 Full Automatic guns on the front, and gravatonics on the bottom, pushing the bike along at speeds reaching 200. Can be operated without feet. In fact, it's built to be used by footless people. EDIT: Oh and Mailliw, I apologize for acting for Max, but they were minor enough that I didn't want to stop the scene just to let you reply. Sorry. Voidus Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Soulswitch? And probably some Prime Invincibility people who don't have their weaknesses around. And aren't encased in diamond. I was actually planning of him escaping the ruins as a mouse planning to find Steelheart and then getting stepped on by fleeing vanillas I'm hoping PP will escape, given what his weakness is unless someone knows it it's unlikely to come into play, and the only people who could know are him and possibly Saccharine, neither of whom particularly want to kill him Even trapping doesn't really work on resurrection Epics.
Edgedancer he/him Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 In case someone cares, I just started playing Scribblenauts Unlimited and this is the first thing I created after the tutorial. For the empire! 4

For the empire! 2014-09-28_00001.jpg 2014-09-28_00002.jpg I have no idea what Scribblenauts Unlimited is, but that is awesome. So... could Phoenix and Saccharine replicate Upgrade's ability with some sort of portable device? It might be difficult, but Upgrade would probably find it preferable to Lightwards' solution of choice.
