Navigation Templates

I've seen the navigation boxes at the bottom of some pages, like the books and the pages relating to the cosmere. I just wanted to post an idea about making templates for individual series. For example, if we made a Mistborn template, we could have the important place, characters, books, etc. What do you think?

That's a good idea. Those boxes are really useful for getting to key articles. My main worry is that there'd be too many boxes on certain pages. For example, on any book page, they have the Published Works of Brandon navigational box. It isn't too bad to have a second box, but we definitely can't have three or more.

Well. We could, but we'd need a way to have them be auto-collapsed. Joe, do you think we could manage that?

I'm looking around for a page that already has two navigation boxes which would be in danger of getting a third with this method, and I can't even find one with two, so it's not a big deal. I'm just thinking about the future.

Either way, I want to make this happen.

Joe, what say you about a Mistborn navigation box? Mistborn is a tough case, because there will be three trilogies (and more Alloy sequels) in distinct time settings. Should we have different navigational boxes for different time periods, or have a (eventually) ginormous Mistborn navigation box, which includes everything? I'm kind of leaning to the big box, and we'll figure out how to structure the data there at a later date.

Me, on the other hand, prefers 3 smaller mistborn boxes rather than 1 huge one.

I honestly could go either way. It's tough to say at this point what would be good in the future.

I would go for 3 small boxes. The way I see it, each box shows other key points in the series. The three trilogies are three separate series, but set in the same world. Either way would work though.

If there would be three or four boxes on each page, is there a way to hide the box, and then reveal it, like in a spoilers tab?

It should indeed be possible to hide/collapse those infoboxes, I've just not put that bit in yet, and it wasnt really necessary until now.

Here's my idea for the navigation box for the Mistborn Trilogy (Alloy of Law not included)

Books: Final Empire, WoA, HoA

Protagonists: Elend, Vin, Sazed, Kelsier, Spook, Tensoon

Antagonists: Lord Ruler, Straft Venture, Ruin (maybe not), Cett (not sure, since he kind of changed sides)

Places: Luthadel, the two major cities from HoA that I have forgotten right now

Other possible categories could include the noble keeps that are visited, although they may not be important enough.
