He felt numb, all of sudden. The rush from the fight left, leaving him feeling exhausted. "You-" But she hadn't agreed with him. He was no 'hero' in her eyes. She had yelled at him for his plans, told him he was evil, called him a monster. Something about that fascinated him, because no had ever done that before. The little doubts that had wormed their way inside his heart for years had always been discarded by others. They convinced he was doing the right thing, even if it felt wrong. He sat down next to her. Not sure what to do. "But . . . you hate me."
