not everybody can be a misting or ferring but regular people have adapted. i enjoyed reading about the spicialized bullets, the stone headed arrows, even glass throwing knives. my question is if you were a regular human in the world of mistborn how would you defend yourself?

wouldnt that get expensive? though it proubly is one of the best solutions. i was think as a type of bullet that would explode after impact; so the bullet would be inside the target before exploding dealing a greater amount of damage this would be good against pewter arms, and bloodmakers.

would pewter arms be as effected by poison? and if the poison is too powerful for a bloodmaker to heal from would the act of taping their metal minds just speed up their death? i like the poison option doubly because there are so many non-matallic ways to infect the target. blow dart gun would be a good option with wood or bone darts. and even if a poison isnt lethal it may tip the balnce in a fight to your favor.

I really wonder which is more expensive: hiring someone, or custom made explosive rounds? Considering that to be accurate with any weapon, continued practice is required, you're going to be ordering a bunch of those rounds...

law of supply and demand. as long as there is people needing bullets to kill misting and ferrings various weapons could become mass produced. who knows what kinds of weapons may become available.

I agree. That doesn't necessarily mean they will be cheaper in the long run than hiring specialists.

true but even if you hire a specialist wouldnt you feel safer with a anti-misting or anti-ferring weapon on hand?

how would it be best to deal with a slider?(bendalloy misting i think) oddly i think if you could some how lasso the area around the time bubble it could be effective.

Um, is this with AoL tech?

if it is with modern tech, probably some sort of device that heats up metal, like a microwave.

If it is with AoL tech, then I would probably try to avoid msitings/ferrings in the first place.

you bring up an interesting idea. how would a electric current effect burning or storing metals? im less sure about useing metal minds but since the burning process is internal could shocking or electricuting a misting effect thier powers?

High yield explosives on a dead man's switch. As they say, the only way to win is not to play.

I do like explosives as a way to combat mistings and ferrings but i dont believe that using a dead mans switch is the best way... though it would be good as a last ditch effort.

Ah, but you see, the dead man's switch is the key. No allomancer could hurt you for fear of setting off the bomb. If the explosives were explode-y enough, even Miles couldn't survive it. Thus, no misting/ferring would ever attack you, and thus you'd never need to defend yourself against them.

Although, on the grand scale of things, this might be a somewhat evil approach. It does, after all, put the lives of everyone near by at risk, not just allomancers or feruchemists.
