Feloxia
I'm rereading Warbreaker at the moment, and I noticed something that I hadn't before. While Vivenna is walking through the Idrian slums in T'Telir and finally realizes that everyone there is Idrian, not Hallendren, she notices little symbols of Austre everywhere. Unfortunately, she soon began to see signs. Symbols of Austre placed—unobtrusive by intention—in the corners of windowsills or on doorsteps. (Page 329)I was just wondering, have we gotten any information on what the symbols of Austre look like? Windrunner
I haven't heard anything about the symbols of Austere being available anywhere, but then again, I didn't realize the Feruchemical symbols were out either. Another symbol in Warbreaker is the artisans script, which is that language that is shown by color, rather then form. I would like to see some symbols out of Warbreaker, perhaps to represent the Heightenings. (Maybe there will turn out to be 16? Who says there aren't more?) Nalthis is currently the only Shardworld without any symbols related to to it's magic system, so I hope we'll end up seeing some.
b4dave
The symbol for Austre is probably a colour wheel, lol

Now that I think about it, I haven't seen any symbols from this book....And I'm pretty sure that I knew this a while ago, and then forgot. Thanks for reminding me But anyways, I don't think that Idrian symbols would be in artisans script, since they all have one Breath and wouldn't see the color steps. Plus, they don't encourage color in general. The symbol for Austre is probably a colour wheel, lol Maybe, but I doubt it. Refer to above.
Aethling
I have always pictured them as something similiar to what early Christians and Jews put around their doors as symbols of faith. There may not be any definate form for them other than general shapes which may vary depending on the household. Sometimes you just have to envision stuff in your mind's eye, that allows everyone to be able to take different stuff out of the same novel. You pointed out in your own theory thread that Shards with complements form patterns of 16, whereas Shards operating alone often capitulated in 10s. Perhaps, if Endowment met its match, there would be more Heightenings? How could there be? Some of the Heightenings (like perfect pitch and 'max life sense') already seem like a stretch to fill blanks.
