In the epigraphs, it's mentioned that Hoid is probably the author of the epigraphs.

However, it seems to me like theories don't really belong in a wiki.

What are the rules on this?

I agree it's highly likely, but at least in my opinion, wikis are for confirmed facts.

Forums are more the place for unproven theories, no matter how likely.

You would need to clearly state that its aTHEORY, not fact, that Hoid wrote them.

Agreed. Mentioning theories is fine, but they must be clearly labeled as such. I've even seen whole wiki pages developed to particularly deep-running theories on other wikis.

Me too, zas, me too. But we don't fail at information, so if we get all the good, awesome detail in there, the people who don't fail at wikis can come along and make us feel stupid.

As long as the information is there, that's all that matters. Someone can come along later and edit it to turn it into a theory, but with out the information, we would never know about the theory in the first place.
