John Cusack is a great call, though I dunno how well he'd suit blond hair! I like looking at lesser known actors for casting discussions. For your consideration, I give you: Kelsier - Matthew Goode He's got the playing nobleman thing down, and has the dangerous, over confident smile. As an actor he also has a real intensity that I think Kelsier needs. Just dye him - he's played blond before - and scruff him up a touch. 1
Osric Fingerbone he/him Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Vin - Mackenzie Foy Just over 5ft, so petite enough. Taekwondo blackbelt. Can probably handle the combat and steelpushing. Emotional range - see Interstellar. Only a few years older than Vin's age.
Osric Fingerbone he/him Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Elend Venture - Thomas Brody Sangster A bit old (27), but doesn't look it. Looks more of a bookworm than a hero. A certified dish. Lestibournes/Spook - Kodi Smit-Mcphee Looks kinda awkward, which is perfect for our Spook. Can do accents (Nightcrawler in X-Men Apocalypse) Dockson - Jeffrey Wright Plays tired, intelligent, strategic well. Superb actor. Breeze/Lord Ladrian - Toby Jones Overweight, unconventional, comedic. Superb character actor, very charismatic. Can do various classes, accents. Hammond - Daniel Kaluuya Range. Smart, geeky - noble, martial...see Black Mirror and Black Panther as well as early work in The Fades. Can do both dependable Pewterarm and dreaming philosopher. Also, damnation. Clubs - Stephen Lang Character actor. Grizzled. Good presence. Is Stephen Lang. Marsh - Paul Bettany Is older than M. Goode but looks similar, so could play Kel's big bro just fine. Has the cheekbones and forehead to play Spoiler a Steel Inquisitor not to mention the necessary intensity, and at 6'3 is imposing. The Lord Ruler - Takeshi Kaneshiro Accomplished martial arts experience. Range as an actor is impressive. Multilingual. Just imagine much longer hair. I'll do Sazed last, in his own post, because he's so important to me and there are a number of directions we could go 6
Osric Fingerbone he/him Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Sazed I have a number of options here. Naveen Andrews: Aged about 50 but looking good for it. Not sure how old Sazed is meant to be. Will Yun Lee: I imagine Sazed as darker, personally, but Will is an incredible actor and it's an interesting take on Terris looks. Vibes well with Lord Ruler pick too. Lance Reddick: Tall at 6'4". Experienced actor, gravitas and physicality. On the older side. Sonam Wangdue: A Tibetan American comedian. A bit of a wildcard maybe. Spoiler Can't get rid of this box. 3

I love Matthew Goode but I don't know how well he'd do with Kelsier's sense of humor. I think John Cusack could more easily go between the two. And honestly, Kelsier's hair color isn't that important. He doesn't have to be blonde to work as a character. None of the characters are tied to a particular look, which is why I suggest a black actress as Vin. It would be great to see more diverse casting. Edited July 30, 2018 by kaduzy

I'm down for any ethnicity/race for Vin, as long as they can pull off waif to Mistborn badass. 1
1st of Lunch he/him Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 I'm not sure I care who plays who because the movie adaptation will stink no matter what...but can we PLEASE get Phylicia Rashad, a.k.a., Claire Huxtable, to play Tyndwil!? Her attitude and raised eyebrow game are unmatched! https://goo.gl/images/yTqn19 1
rioter10098 Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 Michael Fassbender for Kelsier. It might not be realistic but if he has time for that Assassin's Creed movie, he can do Mistborn. I think RDJ doesn't fit the physical attributes of Kelsier and could be too old.
KelsierofHathsin Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 and Liam Hemsworth as Kelsier and Chris Hemsworth as Marsh 1
KelsierofHathsin Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 Taron Egerton as Elend, Jack Black as breeze, and Tom Holland as Spook 1
Fanghur Rahl he/him Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Am I the only one who thinks that the guy who played Ramsay Bolton in Gane of Thrones would be absolutely perfect for Zane? After all, Zane is basically just a non-Complete Monster version of Ramsay. 3
Ashertliden Posted August 26, 2018 Posted August 26, 2018 The entire cast of the office as everyone 1

Ambitions Avatar she/her Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Kelsier: Nathan Fillion, and if Nathans not available then Josh Holloway Vin: Saoirse Ronan Elend: maybe . . . Joe Keery: I don't know why but I want to see Daniel Radcliffe as Marsh And not that this would be realistic, but someone should animate a short of TenSoon as a corgi trying to follow Vin around Luthadel. 1
Toaster Retribution he/him Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 Andy Serkis would be brilliant as TenSoon.
+Invocation Posted September 23, 2018 Posted September 23, 2018 Liam Neeson as the Inquisitor Kell fights in the square.
Fanghur Rahl he/him Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 I kinda think that Millie Bobby Brown could probably make a pretty good Vin, in a couple years of course since she’s currently only 14 and Vin was 16 (as of Final Empire).
Embrisk he/him Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 (edited) Ruin: Mr Gold from Once Upon a TimeBecause he plays a very good dual personality. Evil, loveable, crazy, kind, murderous, caring, treacherous. Hoid: James Veitch Yeah, he hasn't done any film acting, but he fits the personality perfectly, I feel. In his own words, he doesn't know when to stop. He is brilliant and sassy, and he loves toying with people. Edited October 10, 2018 by Servillius 4
