Lukas smiled, glancing about. This was his home planet, Ignellior. The ground was plain old dirt and black grass covered everything that wasn’t the road. The buildings were wood and built like those in a small medieval village. Wooden barrels lined some of them, and there were many dark alleys. Just then, Lukas spotted a small figure run down one of the dark corridors between buildings.

”Th-th-there!” He shouted, pointing.

She looked where he pointed and barely glimpsed the figure. She followed it down the alley.

The figure glanced back, then turned and started sprinting away. It was only three or four feet tall, definitely a child.

She set Lukas down. “Follow him. He’ll trust you, but not me. I’ll be close. Yell for me if anything happens to you.” She kissed his forehead.

Lukas nodded, running around the corner. A few seconds passed. Then a few minutes.

Then a scream came from around the corner, it sounded muffled and far away.

The building she enters is dark and dusty. There is a furnace in the corner, which is steaming as if it had just been put out. There are stairs off to the left.
