Veer uses his powers to hit the ball back, which apparently doesn't cause a kernel shower. Then, he walks over and picks a corn ball from the plants growing on his side, putting it into play as well.

I mean it. My father tried to make me attractive in every way he could, and I hated it. Liking me because of personality and not skill... It really does mean a lot.

Veer watches the two hit the balls back and forth. The corn plants are almost a thicket now; it feels like they would be difficult to move through quickly.
