There was another pang of ache in her head, this one not just an emotion, but a memory. 

It was from this other Aventine's perspective. Her limbs were shackled and her chin was being held in place by Rue.

"This isn't right," Aventine had said.

It was the last thing she ever said.

Aventine fell backwards due to some force she couldn't explain.
