It was easier than she might have expected. There wasn't any painful increase in pressure as she swam down, though her lungs did begin to burn by the time she reached TAAron.

Rue grabbed him and used a thread of water to speed up the swim back to the surface.

As they rose, the red glow around him faded, and his wound healed. When they reached the surface, he came to, and immediately looked shocked.

"Rue! You... what happened?"

“Finally,” she muttered. Then she pulled back from him. “How are you alive?”

"I don't know. I just remember Malum..." he grimaced. "How long has it been?"

“Couple days.”

Can Ezrium come now...? Also, HOW IS HE ALIVE?!?!

It appeared that Ezrium's therapy session had ended.

Bonum kept him alive. Also, I don't know if Ezrium can come. Rue was only able to get there because of a specific set of powerful tools and some help from a dead god.

Ezrium is an interdimensional being who can open up interdimensional portals throughout space and time that can lead to other universes.

These tools are more powerful than he is, but that's besides the point. The underworld has always been locked down to those forms of travel, and only had the odd entrance here and there, and the only known one that Clinic people have found is currently closed. But I guess if you really think he could, Ezrium can show up. I don't know why he'd want to, though.

"I don't know... But don't we still need to destroy the gods?"

Hmm... Well, I guess this will probably be over sooner rather than later. We can find something to do when they're back.

"Interesting... would you care to elaborate?"

"Uh, let's summarize it as a bunch of really bad decisions that lead to a lot of people suffering, universe ending, and many different wars. Yeah."

"Intresting... so you are from another universe! I knew it!"

"More like a past... Iteration of this one."

"Universal displacement, obviously! Hmmm, maybe also time displacement too, if you're from a previous universe..."

"No. It's more like 'this universe ended and then came back to life and I survived that change' type of thing, rather than displacement. It's a relatively normal thing to survive a cycle of the universe."

"Right... but you couldn't do anything against a god?"
