I thought it was based off of what you believed, sorry.

But yeah it doesn't matter but it might help make malum look like a actually important antagonist or smth

Well... I'm sorry. I don't know what you tell you.

TAAron had been watching in apprehension. He caught something out of the corner of his eye. A black mass, crackling with violet energy, moving across the water. "Rue..."

Rue grimaced and wove a hardened shield of air around their group. “How are we supposed to fight that?”

Aaahhh I’m so sorry all, I was at the school for 9 hours today, and…it’s been an adventure.

What might help? And I would say he's an important antagonist, it this plot anyway.

Malum arrived, and he blazed right through everyone and everything, straight at TAAron.

Rue tried to blast at him with weaves of fire.

Just sleeep

The fire passed through Malum completely. The ball of energy smashed into TAAron, then coalesced into a person. A man, with bleeding hands, holding a shard of glass to TAAron's throat.

I'm not going to sleep if that's what's going on when I'm sleeping

Mel tried to stop Malum by pushing away the person

WAIT IMPORTANT QUESTION

Are they still…like…treading water? How is this working?

Okay.

Rue wove water and tried to splash Malum, not intending to hurt him, just get his attention. “Don’t.”

He helped kill me. I think I ought to return the favor.

He pressed the glass against TAAron's neck. TAAron had gone very still. He seemed to be mouthing something. Run.

Why shouldn't I?

“Because,” Rue said, thoughts racing, “he’s all that’s left of your world. If you kill him, you’ll lose your last link to the world of the living, right?”

He'll die quite soon, anyway, in terms of eternity. And I'll be honest, I'm angry. I want to be the one to drain his blood out for the last time.

“Why now, then? If you have eternity, why not wait just a little longer?”

Because he walked right into my hands, and now I can do it myself.

No, actually. It's very, very easy.

“Will something so easy really satisfy your anger?”
