I... there was nothing I could do. By the time I got to her, it was already too late. Tears pricked at his eyes.

She told me to keep people away who might potentially interfere as they fought. I got into conflict with some guards, and then the fire happened, and... I couldn't do anything.

I am not unusually strong or immune to pain. There were physical obstacles that kept me from getting to her in time.

I... did not. In a desperate attempt to convince them, Tayen donned a look of defiance. In all honesty, we decided that it would be better for her to... to be gone than to let you control her again.
