Sadly it was interrupted by a distant *pop*, and a new set of memories flowed into his brain. He remembered his life on the streets, the hunger, the beatings, all of it. He didn't have so much of a visceral reaction this time, instead he stiffened for a moment, heartbeat pounding, then it was over, and he relaxed.
