Trusk'our he/him Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 People have suggested that A-bronze could be used to help counter a Lightweaver's ability to hide, but what about Steelsight? Would, say, a Steel Inquisitor be unable to see a Lightweaving and therefore ignore it? Or, assuming that isn't possible, could they learn to have a sort of x-ray vision due to learning to ignore certain stimuli (more info on this topic here), therefore allowing them to automatically tell if a something is a Lightweaving or not? What are your thoughts on this matter?

What are your thoughts on this matter? I dont think a Lightweaver can manipulate Steelsight since it's an extra-sensory perception that doent have anything to do with actual Light. I suspect A-Bronze would have difficulty detecting Lightweaving for the same reasons that those Detector-spren could not detect Lightweaving but could other surges: It's realmicaly "quiet". But just like learning to detect Feruchemcial use, I think they could do it with practice (and maybe magically heightened sensitivity from Tin). 4

I second this; while it would be possible to detect Lightweaving via A-bronze, it would be probably prove to be just as difficult to detect as Feruchemy- it's meant to be difficult to detect.

I think A-Bronze is much more sensitive than spren-detector, so strong and well-trained Seeker should be able detect Lightweaving. Its because Allomancy normally operates with much smaller amounts of Investiture than whatever Lightweaving we are talking about (either Radiant, Aonic or Yolish) so trained Seeker will see this. 1
