Hello everyone,

Name's PsionicsKnight, but you can call me "Psi." I've been a fan of Sanderson's work--particularly the Cosmere, but the first book I ever read from him was Steelheart--but I haven't gotten into his fanbase till today. Mainly because, where I'm at, there are not a lot of SFF fans, and most of the people I know (either online or offline) didn't know about him till I mentioned him and (even amongst those who would like him) seem very reluctant to try him out for some reason.

Anyhoo, I decided to finally change that and come here to connect with more fans! I guess a few things about me--other than Sanderson being my favorite author (which... come on, if you're an SFF fan, that's the law these days)--are that I've been a fan of fantasy ever since a young age and have read classics like the Lord of the Rings, the first book in the Chronicles of Prydain, the Sword of Shannara, and others.

That being said... I was a big fan of The Sword of Truth when I was younger (read the first four novels), but now that I know of Goodkind's reputation and how his books were made, I'm going to atone by reading The Wheel of Time eventually.

I also want to mention that I've always been a fan of hard magic systems, even before Brando-Sando coined the term. The idea of magic having its uses and rules fascinates me, and I'm very happy to see Sanderson not only bring attention to it but also make some guidelines for how to write/make them and soft magic systems.

As one little aside: I'm also an aspiring SFF novelist myself--even have some books I want to write for this year's NaNoWriMo at the very least--and because of this, I am trying to watch Sanderson's college courses on YT (I'm still blown away he decided to do that). However, it's been difficult since I'm also back in school for web design. While I'll be finishing by the end of this year, I want to try and get as many of those lectures done ASAP--but, of course, my education and life come first. On the other hand, as someone who wants to be a professional novelist, I also have written fan fiction--though I do try to put effort into it--and even have some fan fictions either made or planned that are going to feature Cosmere characters. I'll probably share at least some of these with you guys, so if you check them out, I hope you like it.
