Atilium she/her Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 if you haven't read this webcomic, do it now.
Argent he/him Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 The one-strip format is kind of weird, but I think I'll check at least a couple of hundred of them. It's a quick read, if nothing else.
Eerongal he/him Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Ava's demons is great. I haven't read it in a couple of months, and I do agree the one panel at a time thing is slightly annoying, but if you can get past it, it's a really awesome.
Atilium she/her Posted July 28, 2014 Author Posted July 28, 2014 yeah, the one-panel pages annoy me too. But the beautiful art and intriguing storyline is worth it, I think.
Argent he/him Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 With about 50 strips in, it looks like the demon could be treated as a metaphor about either a young girl's insecurity or a psychological condition. Which, intentional or not, makes the whole thing even better. 1
Swimmingly he/him Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Even if it's literal, it can still be a metaphor for the general case.
Eerongal he/him Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Even if it's literal, it can still be a metaphor for the general case. It's figuratively a literal metaphor. That should clear it up completely. :3 2
Tulir he/him Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I really like this webcomic because I read a lot of them, and Ava's Demon has an entirely different style, and variety is a fairly great thing. 1

Argent he/him Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Okay, so after going through about a thousand strips this morning (it's possible that I like this comic...), I see that Ava's demon is almost certainly not intended as a metaphor. She still works like one, but only for the first couple of chapters, when we don't know anything about her. Is there an RSS feed somewhere I am not seeing?
