Trusk'our he/him Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 Steel plating repels Aethers that are growing. So, would steel plating on the hull of a ship protect it when entering the Crimson Sea, since the spikes that are formed wouldn't ever pierce the ship?
IlstrawberrySeed Posted May 28, 2023 Posted May 28, 2023 It might, but unlike the other spores we've seen, crimson spikes have a predetermined path of growth - strait out (Or at least that's how I understood it). I don't know that a simple coating would provide enough of a force to prevent spikes from piercing it, but it would likely greatly increase the chances for anyone rolling the dice.
