Voidus Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 PP objects, saying that he's both an Epic and sane! The Protector disagrees on both counts 1
Kobold King he/him Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Möbius, my god. First impulse, thats broken even for Epics and could put some of our horrors to shame. Second impulse, if she can´t block teleporters why hasn´t one killed her in her sleep yet. Möbius terrifies me. Being locked in an endless hallway would be awful. I was explaining this RP to a friend, and realized we have a lot of freaky and terrifying characters. A medusa-man, Nighthound(just plain creeper), someone who severs heads with electricity, someone who gives you hallucinations (not always pleasant, rarely so), insane transformers, an insane necromancer, and it goes on. I'm glad Möbius has been met with such a fear-dripping response. As I believe I've mentioned, she was my first idea for an Epic character when I was first considering joining this game. But ultimately I felt that people would be mad at me if I went around locking everyone in infinite hallways. The way I see it, teleporters are not bound by the normal laws of space-time, so Möbius can't contain them like she can normal people and Epics. As a result, she kills most of the teleporters she comes across by distorting space around them in such a way to rip their cells apart, or by crushing them into microscopic particles with her control over gravity. And when she sleeps, she does so on the International Space Station. Nobody's found her yet. As for the rest of the insane and terrifying Epics in the game--well, they're part of the reason I love this game so much. 1
Voidus Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 I would love to see Möbius meeting Funtimes, being trapped in an infinite bouncy castle would be significantly less terrifying 1

Her powers bring her to complete story breaker level so mad might be an understatement, if you brought her in. Another fun fact, when I was still fine-tuning Nighthound the alternative to his mindcontrol power was also a story breaker power that let him mess with the weaknesses of other Epic´s. You might understand why I cut the idea. I guess that only leaves a good sniper. Space Stations are still around? Those are though. Thank you?

For a Steelheart type story about underdogs taking on an insanely powerful villain, Möbius would be perfect. For this game, she's just a tad overpowered. Heh. It's a shame we can't go all Princess Celestia on her and banish her to the moon...Wait. Moon.....pocket universes.... Oh sweet Gallifrey. MÖBIUS IS PRINCESS CELESTIA!!!!!! Hold me. For this game, she's just a tad overpowered. Möbius is perfect for what I use her for--an insanely powerful Epic from Lightwards' past who served as a strong reminder that he's not the most powerful Epic around and that caution is always required. But for the game, yeah--she'd definitely be overpowered. Lightwards has much more reasonable (though awesome) powers. MÖBIUS IS PRINCESS CELESTIA!!!!!! That settles it. I'm totally making her pony an alicorn. 2
Edgedancer he/him Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 (edited) Huh, so Celestia is a tyrant afterall. All those hater fan-fics were right, who would have thought. Then again not all the Pony Epics are completly in character. Nighthound for example is way more talkactive than King Sombra and I don´t think he likes stairs. Edited August 9, 2014 by Edgedancer 2
Kobold King he/him Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 So I think it's my responsibility, like Celestia, to usher in Oregon's morning? It would mean a double post...
Voidus Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Yeah I think that's what everyone said, double posts don't really matter as much in an RP anyway
Edgedancer he/him Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 (edited) You could edit your old post and then announce it here. Edited August 9, 2014 by Edgedancer
Kobold King he/him Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 I guess I'll edit the last post, then. For the museum, are we going to bring in NPC Epics to add a dash of excitement? The museum would be a wonderful place to set a minor battle, and it would let us all flex our creativity muscles to make minor Epics.
Voidus Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Works for an introduction to PP too, getting accidentally rolled into the fight.

I vote for npc´s we have to actually beat something sometimes. We need minor Epics... Lemme see... My contribution to the minor Epics is Headshot, who can make all the bullets he shots lock on and home in a specific target. Well then, do your job Celestia. What Luna would think if she could see her sister now... Wait, the traditional royal canterlot voice... Of course, Nighthound isn´t only King Sombra he´s also Luna... or Nightmare moon, yeah that´s more like it. 2

My contribution for a minor Epic is a man named Blindside. He's an invisibility Epic who can make himself and others hidden from view, and is a perfectly charming fellow who carries a hefty number of knives around with him. 2
Voidus Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Can I suggest a friction-manipulating Epic named Quickslide? 2
Kobold King he/him Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Can I suggest a friction-manipulating Epic named Quickslide? You can indeed. I like it--this will be one pretty awesome fight. 1
Voidus Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Awesome with a capital 'A' if Quickslide is along 3
Kobold King he/him Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 If you don't mind me saying, Blindside and Quickslide sound like a comedy duo. 1
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted August 9, 2014 Author Posted August 9, 2014 Hmmm…..allow me a moment to think of a minor Epic to bring to this fight…. How about…..Hotwire. She can take control of any vehicle within 50 yards and "drive" up to two at once remotely. 1
Edgedancer he/him Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 (edited) Can I suggest a friction-manipulating Epic named Quickslide? Yes more cannon fodder more. MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! (manipulate friction in what way?) If you don't mind me saying, Blindside and Quickslide sound like a comedy duo. I tried to make a joke about this that ended with BOOM Headshot but I couldn´t come up with a good one. Hmmm…..allow me a moment to think of a minor Epic to bring to this fight…. How about…..Hotwire. Are they simply a quartet of Epics who use the museum as their base, or are they there for a specific reason?

Voidus Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Reduce the friction of any surface to essentially zero, can be used on his shoes, allowing him lift style gliding or on an entire floor to make everyone else fall over.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted August 9, 2014 Author Posted August 9, 2014 Maybe they wanted territory for their own, but the only turf they could manage to stake a claim to was the museum because every other Epic in the city thought museums were boring. On that note, maybe they control every museum in the city because no other Epic wanted to control a building full of dusty old rocks. 2

And then they found out that knowledge doesn´t directly translate to power afterall. Edited August 9, 2014 by Edgedancer 2
