I know that we joked about this before but after this event Nighthound really is Lightwards´ best chance to have a confidante within his own empire, apart from maybe recruiting Voidgaze.

 

Talking about this, Kobold given that it appears that your internet wasn´t fried by a thunderstorm afterall (at least yet) wanna have a meet up between Lightwards and Nighthound?

 

Let´s see considering that he would hold himself back a little bit because of Funtimes, he most likely would take control over one of the offenders and have her break her own fingers. (please remember that she would be fully concious for this.) So, not pleasant at all.

Had anyone else said that, Lightwards would have shot them in an instant. But there was something different about the way Nighthound said it. Something….sincere, yet sympathetic. "No," Lightwards agreed. "The leprechaun remark proved as much."

"You must prove that you are worthy of their respect. Demand it."

"I do," Lightwards sighed. "And it does nothing."

"There is another way."

Nighthound had stopped in his tracks, and Lightwards stopped as well. Something strange had come over the feral Epic's face. A glint of humor? No, not humor. Something deeper. "And what way is that?"

"Take my hand."

"What?"

"Take my hand, Lightwards, and we will show them how worthy of their respect you are."

Lightwards did so, surprised by the warmth of Nighthound's grip. Before he could protest, or speak at all, Nighthound had pulled him close and had his arms around his waist. His face was so close Lightwards could feel his breath on his cheek.

"Now kiss me," Nighthound whispered. How Lightwards heard it over the beating of his own heart, he didn't know. "Kiss me beside the dinosaurs, in the quiet of this primordial forest, and we will show them how worthy you are."

The kiss itself surprised him. It wasn't the cold, calculated kiss of an Epic's strategic move. It was a kiss of passion.

 

It was like a four-car pileup: No matter how hideous, how terrible, how utterly wrong the kiss was, Remington couldn't look away. 

"Doctor?" That was Traveler. "You wouldn't have a toothpick, would you?"

She handed him the toothpick without comment. Her customary grin was gone, replaced by a look of horror.

"Now what do you need a toothpick for?" Remington asked.

Traveler had broken off from the group. "Off to gouge my own eyes out. Be back in a moment."

"I'll join you," Remington said.

"As will I," said Revolution.

Sam jogged to catch up. "Hey! Where's my toothpick?"

I have no clue what I think about it as I´m just as bind, however i think the chin/lower lip might be very big.

I'm starting to think she did something similar at the casino to someone he wasn't fond of. But since she liked Fortuity less than the owner of the brand-new pink hat, she saved a more….showy trick for him.

It's not that he's figured out people's weakness, Remember when he broke Kathy out of Jail? He accidently teleported a wall. He's realized that the when the Entire TTC was in that restaurant, as well as Lightwards, he could have dropped a building on them. He could also teleport the floor out of the museum.

 

But he won't do that, no he won't. Unless CorpseMaker is in the building as well.
