Eerongal he/him
@BrandSanderson So I noticed that my name showed up in an interview you did about D&D5. Does that mean I earn a set of review copies? @mikemearls I think we can arrange that! @BrandSanderson Sweet! Loved 3.0/3.5, never really got into 4.0, but am eager to give 5.0 a try. Shall I drop you a PM with an address? @mikemearls Yes, definitely! Ok, maybe not, but still. Ran across these tweets from the other day. I seriously think it would be awesome if they could wrangle Brandon into working on some D&D supplements! For those who don't know, Mike Mearls is the lead designer of the 5th edition of D&D
king of nowhere
I'm quite pessimistic on that. in my experience, D&D designers strive for simplicity and clear-cut choices, so that people can play the kick-the-door style and exterminate whole tribes of sapient beings without worrying about the morality of the fact because they are labeled as "always evil". and brandon don't write that kind of stuff normally. he prefer to have more genuine conflict. on the other hand, maybe things moved from my days (i'm still referring to the 3.0 monster manual where virtually every creature had a big neon sign spelling "kill me" or "i'm here to help" over their heads)

The lead designer STARTED at WoTC right up near the end of 3rd edition, and mostly wrote adventures at that time. Also, i don't think there's any actual collusion here, but it would be awesome if there were. I would definitely love for brandon to write up a Tome of Magic style book full of alternate magic/power systems for everyone to use.
Swimmingly he/him
Reenacting complex moral arguments is less fun than it sounds. There's a reason we hire artists like Brandon to do it for us In all seriousness, a large part of fantasy and role-playing is escapism. Giving complex morals to everything to face is a touch to close to reality in many cases. It's more difficult to separate atrocities committed by a player from their ethics than that of a character.
