When stressed or tired, my character tends to talk using all three of the languages she knows. For her, it takes effort to talk in only one language as she learned all three languages during early childhood, and sometimes mixes up words.

The Unknown Medallion he/him Posted February 6, 2023 Posted February 6, 2023 "Sure. You need any help with it?"

"And I called dibs before you called dibs. And I don't mind help, so I say we let this random individual join us. Especially because I can feel something moving down there, and it doesn't seem like a rat..." I say, grimacing.
The Unknown Medallion he/him Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 I accept, then say, "What’s up down there? Something other rats?"
Tea Leaf Posted February 7, 2023 Author Posted February 7, 2023 Do all of you go down into the basement?
The Unknown Medallion he/him Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 I will follow [Randby's character], and if Samarin wishes to go before me I will allow them.

Okay, as you go down you see reflections off of the chitinous shell of something. Before you get a good look it ducks down and out through a hole in the wall. Once all of you are in the basement the trap door is slammed shut.

Random Bystander she/her Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 "...I don't think that's a rat. Do you think the innkeeper is a serial killer? I've heard stories about serial killers during my travels, and this seems pretty serial killer-y." I say, beginning to ramble nervously.

Channelknight Fadran Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 I draw my sword and ready to face down what I hope is nothing more than a large-ish rat.

The torces catch light quickly, you can see one wall is covered with strange markings with a hole punched through it. On the other side there is a stone door.
