Why one language than three, to express annoyance?

When stressed or tired, my character tends to talk using all three of the languages she knows. For her, it takes effort to talk in only one language as she learned all three languages during early childhood, and sometimes mixes up words.

I frown, and walk towards the counter. "Hello? Is there anyone there?"

You see two young elves, and an air genasi, two of which are going into the basement.

I walk over to them. "Hello, what's going on?"

One of the two elves gets up and says "We are having a 'minor' rat infestation in the basement. Would you like a room, first night is only three silver pieces?"

"Sure. You need any help with it?"

The (presumably) innkeeper offers for you to join the two already going down.

"I don't mean to resist, but I kind of already called dibs on taking care of it."

"And I called dibs before you called dibs. And I don't mind help, so I say we let this random individual join us. Especially because I can feel something moving down there, and it doesn't seem like a rat..." I say, grimacing.

I will follow [Randby's character], and if Samarin wishes to go before me I will allow them.

Okay, as you go down you see reflections off of the chitinous shell of something. Before you get a good look it ducks down and out through a hole in the wall. Once all of you are in the basement the trap door is slammed shut.

"...I don't think that's a rat. Do you think the innkeeper is a serial killer? I've heard stories about serial killers during my travels, and this seems pretty serial killer-y." I say, beginning to ramble nervously.

Everyone make a listen check.

21! That's more like it!

You hear skittering in the walls and the click of a trapdoor being locked. Also you hear something heavy being moved on top of the trapdoor.

"Mhm. Yep. We're all going to die." I say, beginning to internally panic.

Does anyone want to light torches? You can barely see in the dim light.

Yes. I would very much like to do that.

"What is a... serial killer?"

I also rolled a 21 (18 + 0 + 3)

"A serial killer is a crazy person that enjoys killing their carefully chosen victims. Often, they do it in twisted, painful ways." I shudder, pulling out a torch so that I could attempt to light it.

The torces catch light quickly, you can see one wall is covered with strange markings with a hole punched through it. On the other side there is a stone door.
