Clarifications for Soulcasters requested

So I just need something clarified about Soulcasters (The Fabrials)

A typical Soulcaster can turn anything into any one Essence, though some can have up to three Essences?

So if a Soulcaster is attuned to, say, the Essence of Metal, can they Soulcast things into any metal or just a particular type of metal? Like Soulcasting one piece of wood into iron, another into steel and another into aluminum?

That depends on the type of soulcaster.

There are some that can only do certain changes inside their essence, i.e. able to make wood, but not other plant matter, there is only one known soulcaster that can make bronze, etc.
