Immortal Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 (edited) I'm Immortal, and I have a problem with fantasy. I read everything I can get my hands on, from Mark Anthony to Roger Zelazny. I also enjoy playing the latest fantasy styled MMOs, of which I currently play Rift. My first post was over in the Mistborn section, I offered my ideas for the ideal movie cast. I hope to have a warm and fun stay with this community! Edited November 11, 2011 by Immortal
KChan she/her Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Warm? We're definitely warm. I cranked the thermostat to 75 when we got back from the Alloy release. Also, welcome! Have a cookie:
Immortal Posted November 11, 2011 Author Posted November 11, 2011 I'm usually so cold, I'm glad you can keep it balmy for me! Thanks for the cookie!
darniil he/him Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Welcome aboard! Zelazny, eh? So, which class do you prefer: redheads, brunettes, or blonds?
Immortal Posted November 11, 2011 Author Posted November 11, 2011 I'm so ashamed that I misspelled his name! If I had to choose, probably brunette.
darniil he/him Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 My apologies for the fishing expedition, but I wasn't sure if you'd only read his books or also played the Amber: DRPG. Among many DRPG fans, there's an ongoing joke that the game doesn't have classes, per se, but rather hair colors - the redheads are the mystics, the brunettes are the cockroachesfighter-types, and the blonds are the socialites. (And of course, one's real hair color does not have to match the "class" color. Case in point, Merlin is often considered a redhead despite being Corwin's son.)
Immortal Posted November 11, 2011 Author Posted November 11, 2011 (edited) Hah! Oh, sadly I've never played the DRPG, for a second there I thought you were requesting my preference in regards to female companionship based solely on hair pigment. I really need to go back and read the series again, at the time I remember that I thoroughly loved his pacing and how greatly meshed his characters felt, like they were always there and just around the corner; not simply popped in and out (from convenience) of nowhere. Several authors have done just that over the years, and they are allowed to get away with it due to their great plot lines. Edited November 11, 2011 by Immortal 1
