  1. 1st Pick: Clint Mansell (Moon, Black Swan, Mass Effect 3), or 2nd Pick: John Murphy (Sunshine, 28 Days Later, Kick-chull), or 3rd Pick: Paul Leonard-Morgan (Limitless, Dredd). All three have a very futurist way of scoring and aren't limited to doing it all themselves (i.e. pulling existing popular music into the scene) for added realism and/or depth. If they could afford better than either of these three then the next natural choice would be Hans Zimmer, but I'm not sure if his tone would be too epic for a Mistborn series. I focused mainly on the composers, but for sound design it's really hard to narrow down. I like the idea of adding musical cues to their powers and providing the characters with unique sound-scapes.
  2. I was just pulling from an artistic standpoint, specifically on the strong character attributes of the character. I figured casting someone with a darker pigment would help offset his appearance in a group of his peers. I could see a number of other actors in the role that aren't of African heritage, for example Jean Reno would be my #1 choice for the role, in the event that he declines the offer, we'd have to go for someone less desirable but equally impressive.
  3. I could work with these.
  4. Only if he grows his hair out and colors it blonde... he also has to wear a toga all the time, I'm not sure how is physique would hold up.
  5. Oh the humanity!
  6. I'll keep this in mind for when I read it!
  7. I'm officially changing Ham to Adam Baldwin. It even fits with overall "Who should we cast from Firefly" vibe I also like the thought of Liam Neeson in the movie, I was hedging for him on Kelsier and/or Dockson. I'm feeling the middle aged Kelsier. Also I was thinking about it last night and thought that Keith David would make a good addition to the cast, but I'm not sure where he'd fit in, it's just his voice is so epic, y'know?
  8. Very true, it's just the personality of Richard as he portrayed him was WAYYYY too optimistic and happy go lucky, you almost never saw the "raptor glare", ugh.
  9. I came very close to using Craig Horner for Marsh, if only because I wanted to see spikes driven through his eyes for ruining Legend of the Seeker for me. LOL, but seriously that's some good ideas, I could totally see Oliver Platt in the role!
  10. Wow, those are amazing!! I thoroughly enjoy artists with a sense of humor
  11. Life's good and long man! I really like your robocop/bearded gentleman avatar
  12. Hah! Oh, sadly I've never played the DRPG, for a second there I thought you were requesting my preference in regards to female companionship based solely on hair pigment. I really need to go back and read the series again, at the time I remember that I thoroughly loved his pacing and how greatly meshed his characters felt, like they were always there and just around the corner; not simply popped in and out (from convenience) of nowhere. Several authors have done just that over the years, and they are allowed to get away with it due to their great plot lines.
  13. I'm so ashamed that I misspelled his name! If I had to choose, probably brunette.
  14. I'm usually so cold, I'm glad you can keep it balmy for me! Thanks for the cookie!
  15. I'm Immortal, and I have a problem with fantasy. I read everything I can get my hands on, from Mark Anthony to Roger Zelazny. I also enjoy playing the latest fantasy styled MMOs, of which I currently play Rift. My first post was over in the Mistborn section, I offered my ideas for the ideal movie cast. I hope to have a warm and fun stay with this community!
