It's amazing how books can make us feel so deeply and connect us to the characters and their stories. As for Wayne and Sazed, I guess we'll just have to keep reading to find out!

If Sazed has just a touch too much Ruin in him, he could have done worse than to offer to Splinter off that portion - plus an equal portion in balance with a portion of Preservation - into a rebuilt Physical Vessel for Wayne, eh?

But I have a feeling Wayne wouldn't have accepted it. Unlike Telsin, or even Kelsier, he'd never felt the need to make it about himself, to consider himself indispensable to the Cosmere in some way ("they can't possibly do this without me").

He had saved the world. He had saved his friends, especially Wax, from dying to save the world along with him.

He had done what he could to atone for the murder he never forgave himself for.

He lived, he suffered, he regretted, he fought, he drank, he loved, he role-played and loved it, he (mostly) lived up to his ideals, and then, he died.

In the biggest damn explosion ever to rock the world of Scadrial, despite making the explosion smaller.

If one's life is basically a story you write for yourself, well, Wayne could not ask for a better ending to his.
