Thaidakar thrust himself into the waking world. He was surrounded by purplish yellow mush.

Lark was hammering on his door. "Hey! Mr. Thaidakar? Are you in there?"

Thaidakar groaned. Chickens in robes looked frightened as they opened a portal. Thaidakar ripped himself out of the mush and used his powers to open the door. He started attacking the chickens.

Lark gaped, staring in confusion at the madness in Thaidakar's room.

The chickens started running in the portal as it started closing. Thaidakar stole a glowing knife from a chicken by the hilt, it started going towards him. Thaidakar roared as his eyes started glowing golden.

Lark remained frozen by the door.

Thaidakar screamed as he clutched the knife inches from his chest. He yelled a string of words in an indecipherable language. The knife turned to dust in his hands.

Lark finally unfroze as the last of the chickens ran through the portal just as it snapped shut. "Uh... hi. I'm Lark. You're Thaidakar, I presume?"

Thaidakar realized he was only wearing a towel then blushed. He went into a closet and called out, "yes, yes I am. And those chickens are getting storming annoying."

[NameIess]

Lark hesitated, pulling out his phone. "I thought the chickens were banished from the clinic. Should we call someone about that?"

[Thaidakar the Ghostblood he/him]

"That would work, except we aren't in the clinic. I'm staff, remember?"

[NameIess]

Lark glanced around. "Wait, I left? You mean that glowy magic portal thing took me outside of the clinic?"

[Thaidakar the Ghostblood he/him]

"You did, until now." Thaidakar used his powers to send Lark back into the clinic.

[NameIess]

For some reason, the powers didn't work on Lark. "Oh, did you just try to do magic on me? That's so cool! How'd you get your powers?"

He fires the handgun, and a super powerful tranquilizer dart punctures the neck of the creature and it falls unconcious. Calano snaps his fingers and sends it to a containment cell.

He reholsters the handgun and turns back to Haly.

Burning tin reveals the inside of the tree to be spacious and there is a wooden circlet lying on the ground.

Calano watches Haly walk away, then turns to Emma ( @The Wandering Wizard ) and grabs her hand.

"Now that that's taken care of," The world fades away, replaced by the forest they were in before. "Where were we?"
