shadow nearly exploded with frustration (not the person). Shadow then whispered that the guide was an unpublished sanderson book, he had made it a while ago but published it under a pen name.

Tani stole the book Shadow spoke of, ran off, and hid in a dark corner far away from Nameless.

Nameless laughed at the figment of his imagination, too absorbed in his reading to notice Tani, although he did wonder how she'd gotten out of the insanity clinic. Taln was such an epic main character.

Shadow blinked, only nameless could actually touch it. it turned Tani into melted sludge that smelled faintly of burnt sugar.

Nameless stared in horror. "Oh storms, Tani? I think I'm actually insane. I should go back to the clinic, shouldn't I?"

Shadow laughed quietly and said in a whisper into Nameless' ear, "friend, you are not insane, clearly you are just as sane as I am."

Nameless started crying and ran back to the insanity clinic.

"I was-*sob* in the library reading, an-*sob* there was a shadow that kept trying to get me to read a book, and then he turned Tani to sludge!" Nameless broke down into incoherent sobs.

"to be frank," said Shadow, "it was Tani, picking the book up, who made herself turn into sludge! don't just pick up a random book expecting it to be safe! kids these days..."

Dom turned Nameless around to face Tani. "See? Tani's right there, they're fine. I think you need to get back on the treatment here."
