Sleepless - Gods Who Sleep Not

So Edgedancer and Dawnshard are amazing stories but imagine what could be a horde of beings as one of each hold breaths to the certain awakening.  Neither bring attention towards another because only so much breath between each other but when put together it's in the thousands.

That would likely separate the hoardlings from the swarm.

Yet drabs and higher awakeners roam around the world together without trouble..?  The only thing that would separate them is if another awakener was around to see the differences in colors and who would think a cremling would be the source of the color change seeing that nobody really takes notice of a purple cremling to begin with.

No, an infusion of investiture would likely break the hordeling away and make it it's own entity.

Spoiler

Questioner

Could you spike a hordeling?

Brandon Sanderson

Yes. Spike means getting something out, spike means get(ting?) something in? I think that both is viable. I think you can, yeah.

Questioner

If you would spike something in, would the whole Aimian get maybe an Allomantic ability?

Brandon Sanderson

Mostly, this would probably change the hordeling. And they may lose contact to it. It could fiddle with the Connection to the point that they can no longer link. That's gonna be my answer right now, that spiking a hordeling would separate it from the group mind.
