  1. I have a theory: What if you could harvest Honor's God Metal using aluminum? We know that all shards have a God metal which is the physical representation of their investiture On Roshar there seems to be two dominant magical-"metals". The first is Shard plate and the second is Shard blade. In addition, there are two shards on Roshar that are likely the cause of these. Between the two, I see that Shardplate is most similar to Cultivation (It grows when you give it investiture) and Shardblade to Honor (You bond it ) The question remains of how can we get it (and eat it) First off we know that Aluminum "nullifies" the magical properties of a Shardblade. Therefore, wrapping a Shardblade in Aluminum would leave it as a normal metal sword. Lastly, we need to cutting off a chunk. We don't know how much of a Shardblades invincibility is from the metal itself. Therefore, without magic properties, it could be soft enough for us to cut it. Or... To sum up: Step 1: Wrap a Shardblade in aluminum Step 2: *Try to break off a chunk Step 3: Eat and allomantically burn your newly harvested Tanavastium (or whatever you want to call it)
  2. On the topic of tones, when you burn bronze, you here a "rhythm" coming from people using allomancy. There are variations in the tone for each of the different metals. Are there different "versions" of Honor's tones in accordance to the different surges/orders? Also, could you use bronze in a fabrial (like how Navani uses other metals) to be able to enhance the rhythms of different lights? Could you use copper to hide those rhythms? Could a Seeker also perhaps, sense other shard tones?
  3. Seeker...better than nothing!
  4. Windrunner! Then Edgedancer and Bondsmith
  5. Is this saying that Cultivation took it when they entered through her perpendicularity? Do all shards have this ability to influence things to this extent that travel through their perpendicularity, or is Cultivation just more involved?
  6. Yes I have read Stormlight. Here are my quiz results:
  7. Understood. Because of the reoccurring metal theme, would other metals like Pewter have a similar effect? In the quote Brandon mentioned that fabrials are closely connected to metals. Would this mean that span reeds use Duralumin since it is related to Connection? Or perhaps a fabrial that emits heat contains brass which stores warmth?
  8. I like the character progression moments, when Dalinar overcomes his guilt and temptation, when Sazed finds his own way of belief, when Kaladin over the course of books 1, 2, and 3 slowly overcomes his depression... I could go on. (I definitely agree about Amaram)
  9. Assuming that humans spread from shinnovar, why don't we see Ashyn plants in other places? Are Ryshadium just more adaptive or are some of the plants out east just an evolved version of there original species?
  10. This one is hard. I honestly don't know. I like different components of most characters. Do you have one?
  11. Aluminum on Scadrial has canceling effects on their magic system. Does this apply to all magic systems? If I were to bring Aluminum to Roshar, would it stop a shard blade? Would it resist a lashing, and if so, with enough stormlight, could one lash Aluminum objects? Are there other technicalities like this across the Cosmere?
  12. I like Feruchemy. I like the metallic arts in general, yet I think Feruchemy was a very creative magic.
  13. I really like Dalinar. What about you guys?
  14. Yes, I am a math nerd. My favorite book series would have to be the Stormlight archive. I think I like WoK the most. Yes, I have read Era 1 Mistborn.
