  1. I think that this refers to the bridge (When Kal and Shallan fall to the chasm). Remember that the assasin takes his own life and so could not be questioned...
  2. Same opinion than agrooster here. I enjoyed The Night Angel (But when I was reading, It reminded me more of Brandon because os "clean simplicity" and a fast pace, I think) but it was not the kind of book that last in my memory... I mean, not so remarkable. The Lightbringer series are better (I don't know if I would say "way" better o just slightly but better) but I think he still has to improve his writing in order to be amongst the best of today's writers. (I am thinking of Brandon, Steven Eriksson, Richard Scott Bakker, Abercrombie...)
  3. Sounds interesting to me, Bloodfalcon2, but as has been said, for those not in the USA probably starting on day 1 is not possible.
  4. Well, readed the second book. While I enjoyed it (And it's cool to know more of the characters) I felt that it was "just more of the same". These are short books, so I am reading the third when it's out, but my feelings about the series are a bit worse than after reading the first one. Let's see if the third is better One question maybe Argent has the answer for (Thanks in advance )
  5. Maybe I am wrong, but I always assumed that this quote refered to Dalinar. He promises to Kaladin that everything is going to be allright, that he will take care of Kaladin and his men. And then, Sadeas refuses to sell them. Dalinar has told Adolin that this should not end in a bloodbath, and that protects Sadeas (He will have no chance against two shardblades if they (Dalinar, Adonlin...) were determined to kill him, even being in so bad shape (At least that is what I think). So, "All is withdrawn for me. I stand against the one who saved my life. I protect the one who killed my promises. I raise my hand. The storm responds." I stand against the one who saved my life (Kaladin, who has returned because of the promises made by Dalinar) I protect the one who killed my promises (Sadeas, who refuses to sell bridgemen) I raise my hand. The storm responds. (Dalinar summons the Shardblade, which is a price Sadeas can't refuse). The storm as similar thing to the mists in mistborn has been discussed, thus my thoughts of "The storm responds" being the summoning of the blade. Ok, now, two things 1.- Forgive any mistakes in my english, as usual 2.- Sorry about the interruption, but as I said, I always had believed that this quote refered to Dalinar, but seems that I am alone...
  6. I have read the first book this week. So great Nowadays it's hard to find a fantasy book that has less than 1000 pages, or it seems so, and even if I don't mind reading huge books, it is refreshing when you find one shorter and well done. It is the same I though when readed The Emperor's Soul... Even if it has not a "close ending" (Being the first of a series, that is logic) the story works perfectly. On the story, it was cool to read some thoughts of the main character (Not only things that worked, but also things that do not, and why it did not work) about books I readed: seems us fantasy/Scifi guys think alike And seems mr Hines loves those books as any of us. I will be reading the next books for sure Talking about the book with a friend of mine, the only flaw we could find is that it will be still cooler if Vainio had taken Lerasium beads and a pair of shardblades from Brandon's books
  7. Welcome, Auri! Another of the said europeans here (I am from Spain)
  8. In spanish version, gerunds + some "fake" words, making it sound pretty rustic, yes.
  9. Valencia, Spain. Born and raised here, even if I am thinking of moving to another country because of job problems.
  10. Well, even in the shops that do import foreign books no one seemed to know about this one. That's why I was looking at the internet Anyways, I will try in your forums, maybe there are some spanish (or almost european) people who can point me to the right shops. Thank you very much! EDIT: By the way, I will probably end up buying the PDF. But, even if I am using eReader for books for 3 years or so, it seems strange to use it for a rulebook...
  11. I was having a look at http://www.crafty-games.com/retailers, but seems that you have no distributor in Europe. From your website, shipping costs are 30.44$ (The cheaper option) so nearly doubles the price... Even if there is no "official" distributor, you know of any european stores selling it? Spanish ones would be greater, but hope any in Europe will have lesser shipping costs. Probably this should be asked in crafty games website, but maybe any other forum member knows a shop here Thabks in advance!
  12. Thanks! Another year here :)
