  1. May...May I become a stick? I would love ever so much to become a stick!
  2. I dunno, I'm giggling over the typo where the Stormfather boned with Dalinar. ((I'm sorry, I know it's a mistake. XD)) To answer: I'd say they gain a presence in the Physical Realm, as well as sentience for that presence in that Realm. Their promise of death seems, so far, to be only cause by the breaking of the Nahel bond, whether by accident or on purpose. Otherwise, they might well exist as long as their bonded partner stays true to their oaths. Or the Knight Radiant dies.
  3. Where is Rock mentioned in the lullaby? I see 'Rock' in the verse, but I'm not exactly sure that it would be referring to everyone's favorite Horneater. If you didn't intentionally capitalize it, then I'd say it's more of a...what's the word for it? That it has some significant meaning. But I've always imagined that it's the actual rockiness of the chasms. Sphinx beat me to "a lot of lullabies sound disturbing" part. Both them and nursery rhymes, like "Ashes to Ashes" are pretty grim. I imagine literal crystal growths on the sides of the wall. But nothing in either of the books, except for Wyndle, the spheres, and the gemhearts, indicate natural crystal formations.
  4. Storing Stormlight in gems reminds me much of how magic/mana can be stored inside of cut gems in the Eragon books (it's been a while since I read those, but I liked the concept of it). The better cut the gem, the more that it can hold. This seems to work with Stormlight too, as uncut gems can hold it, but not nearly as much or as well. In Eragon, stored mana can be sensed inside of the gems but not seen, unlike Stormlight which can be seen and not sensed, exactly. Perhaps, somehow, the cut gems have "pockets" or "levels" in which the mana/Stormlight can be held in? It would make some sense, sort of like a building with many floors can hold a lot more people than a building with only a ground floor but a very tall ceiling. Which might be why glass, among other things, can't be used to contain Stormlight. Being that Surgebinders breathe the stuff in, the description of it taken the form of vapor seems pretty spot on for me.
  5. That name fits it so well, too well maybe, but still...ugh. I'm glad it was changed.
  6. I'd like to see Taln's flashbacks too. The poor guy, being left being by the other Heralds to suffer for so long. I'd love to see him snap back to reality and head the fight against Odium.
  7. A few weeks ago I learned about this site, but I was a bit hesitant at first. But now I've joined! Yay me! I'm really into the Stormlight Archives, but I plan to read the other books in the cosmere because, well, mainly because of Wit, and Hoid. And because it all seems so interesting.
