I'm sure I have seen WOB that directly refers to the difference between Kaladin's and Shallan's disposition that probably is to point out that not all Nahel bonded suffer from SAD. Also I think ASD is always going to be sensitive area as there is still so little we know about it's causes, only recently it has been theorised that it MAY be caused by miswiring of synapses in the brain whilst the brain is developing in the womb but this is a very recent theory. In this sense then how would you cure it, I would guess anybody who had their brain cured (rerewired) would have a lot of relearning to do. My partner is currently undertaking a medical degree and she is very interested in Autism and she has problems with those who do say it can be cured.

I like this idea a little more than one theory where someone suggested that Bondsmiths bonded to other large spren such as the nightwatcher and one other (Cusicech I believe). Given that there is obviously a reverence to the Stormfather I could imagine why many more bonds than three could be seen as "seditious" as this could almost create a very separate, almost fanatical faction to the radiants if many bonded to one revered figure.

That indeed might be their perception but the nahel bond is definitely as more than that from a human point of view and more importantly from the spren point of view. I wish I could quote from the book directly but spren, especially Syl do seem to think the risk of being ultimately betrayed is worth taking in order to experience the sentience that the bond allows them. Both parties get a lot.

Another possibility is that it could be the smokeform voidspren as forrementioned. One of the few things that is black but gives out light is smoke, not without fire of course but just thinking out loud!

I do like the idea of this being Neragaoul or something similarly Unmade. I am not sure in terms of the influence but it is clear that it has a greater influence on those open to it, those with little respect for life. Adolin no longer feeling it does seem like possible foreshadowing on his path towards becoming a radiant.

First post, I am more of a voyeur on here really, hi all. Think what PA was getting at. I always read the map as being as some have also said in the southern hemisphere as the south all seems to be a colder climate and the north more temporate. Couldnt get that pic up so I am not sure what mje89 was alluding to?
