Quick Fix Game 16: The Shades of Threnody
Jo and the Bush replied to RippleGylf's topic in Sanderson Elimination
To be clear Lopen, his plan doesn't soft clear him. It was his plan not including himslef that made me suspect him. I had him soft cleared because of Aman until he posted it. Now that my misunderstanding with his plan is clearedpup, he's back to being soft cleared. I would lynch mckeedee, elodin, winter or mailliw. I would abstain on sart, zas or bard. I would defend lopen. I am giving my intoxicant to bard. I have sent in orders to do so. Also, since we now have items equal to the amount of players, I think we should encourage knife use. Everyone seems to auspext the same people, and distrust the same people, so if a player knifes a generally trusted player, they'll be obviously eliminator. Or at least, more suspicious. So villagers and eliminators can really only risk stabbing the players who are widely untrusted or inactive. If I am given a knife from now on, I will use it at my discretion.- 346 replies

Ignore that. Zas you're back to soft cleared, because your plan made sure that everyone gets items. Thank you Elodin.- 346 replies

Zas, you just rocketed straight down to eliminator status for me. Your item plan is nice, in that it makes sure more players have items, leaving only one player without an item. Yourself. Thus, you can make the eliminator kill today and tomorrow. I would rather you get an item than either Bard or Sart, since you deliberately ignored the fact you were itemless. EDIT: See two posts below. EDIT2: Found the character limit.- 346 replies

We do need to give the itemless players items at some point, or hope that cloudjumper was the only eliminator out of the circle.- 346 replies

I was unable to pass my item, because I was rather suddenly needed to drive my grandparents to the airport 7 hours ago. I just got home. (Portland traffic sucks) So i didn't send in orders. I received Silver Dust from Mailliw. RIPPLE: Can Eliminators send in orders for other Eliminators?- 346 replies

Quick Fix Game 16: The Shades of Threnody

1. huh, didn't expect to see that. 2. I was poking Aman becuse he's an extremely good player who had stated in his signup that come monday he would be very busy. I wanted his input on the game before he got busy. Which is alos why I didn't realy care when others voted on him. He was going to become inactive on monday, and he hadn't posted at all, so he wasn't that useful. 3. I still think they are flaws. I would still rather we didn't pass knives, except to players like Lopen, who use them to kill eliminators. I'd rather use them to either take out suspicions, or inactives. 4. Mek, I still don't know how to feel about Mek. I've always been suspicious and trusting of hi this game. I didn't vote for him, because I can't find a reason for him to do what he did if he was an eliminator. 5. I literally posted in my player list who I trusted, Elbereth, Lopen, Zas and Sart, in that order. 6. it was an intoxicant, and I still have it.- 346 replies

Quick Fix Game 16: The Shades of Threnody
Jo and the Bush replied to RippleGylf's topic in Sanderson Elimination
If we've been following a faulty plan this whole time, I'm going to be annoyed. Elbereth - Made a rather nice plan. But if Ripple reveals that you can pass an item and make a eliminator kill, I'm going to presume she knew that and made the plan to distract us. Bt until then, She's my number one trusted player. Lopen - Succesfully killed a mutineer. Very low chance of him having sacrificed Cloudjumper, but highly unlikely. Zas - Broke the Tie on Aman, and while he could have been sacrificing a teamate to get our trust, I'll consider him soft cleared. Sart - Slightly less soft cleared than Zas, because he tied it rather than breaking the tie, but otherwise, soft cleared. ---I'd lynch anyone below this line if it came down to them or someone above it --- Bard and Bugsy - Relatively neutral. Haven't gotten a good reading on either of them. Mckeedee - . . . His justification for lying to me (To test my alignment) seems rushed, or retroactive. Like he made it up afterwards to cover for the real reason he lied to me. But, if he is a mutineer, I can't see a reason for him to lie in the first place. Not trusting him, but not willing to lynch him yet either.Mailliw - Probably genuinely busy, maybe sneakily inactive to avoid the item passing plan? Don't know. I'm willing to ignore him for now.Winter and Elodin - Far too silent. Possibly Eliminators due to the lack of a kill on C2. I'd prefer to lynch one of these two. I'll go with Elodin right now since He's been claiming No item and not trying to get into the item circle. EDIT: Oh yeah, who do I pass to now?- 346 replies

Adding on to that, in some cases, GM's who are to busy, outsource their Writeups. They provide the details, and a chosen player (Usually Elbereth, occasionally myself, even less ocasionally other people) write the writeup after the details have been posted, that's what's happening in the curent QF with Ripple and I.

Writeup is finally live. Geez. I spent far too long Binge reading Gunnerkrigg Court today. Also, I'll be out of Wi-Fi- range for, well, nearly the rest of the cycle. I'll try to get online, but don't count on it until about an hour before rollover.- 346 replies

Alright, I should be online right before rollover, so If he hasn't posted by then, I'll send my item to him, if not, I'll send it to, oh, wow. I didn't read your plan fully enough, lol. I'll send my item to Conquestor. It will be slightly awkward if I end up with two items tomorrow and mek ends up with none.- 346 replies

Where would we be in the circle? I'm perfectly fine with joining it, once Conq posts that he's seen this and will be changing his orders. I don't want to receive his item and not give him one. Wouldn't be fair.- 346 replies

Isn't he dead? He scanned Ebereth and got killed I think, as did El. (Ok, the think bit is a Lie, I made him scan Elbereth, so it should be know, not think.) -
I finally took the plunge and binge read the entirety of Gunnerkrigg court today. It's cool.

Hm, if you had someone with an identical item that you could trade with, would you consent to trade items with that player, so that we could be sure you're not making the eliminator kill?- 346 replies

Master Elodin: Xailen Dava (Can't remember much of him?) TheOnlyJoe: Joseph (Gave Conq an Item, can't have made kill) Mailliw: Ialim (Been active in other parts of the forums) Cloudjumper: Lark (Was online an hour before rollover) Conquestor: Lorien (Gave me an Item, can't have made kill) Winter Cloud: Kae and Cleo (Claimed to have meant to give me an item but forgot) TheMarvelousLopen: Lopen (Been active) Elbereth: Crepuscula (Busy on the homefront.) Sart: Sam Trudite (Online recently) Mckeedee123: Mekel Moss (Been active) TheYoungBard: Yon (Been active) Zas678: Zas (Been active) Deathclutch19: Sir Ulrich von Liechtenstein (Haven't seen much of him.) Bugsy6912: Beckett (Been active) TheSilverDragon: Peter (Seems to be inactive?) So, I'm going to toss a vote on @TheSilverDragon Silver Dragon. There was no Eliminator kill, so maybe the inactives or people who missed rollover are eliminators. (I'd still like more item claims people so we know wh0 can't have made the kill.- 346 replies

Is there a way to view how many times a person has replied to a specific topic? Previously you would get a list when you clicked the total replies.

Quick Fix Game 16: The Shades of Threnody
Jo and the Bush replied to RippleGylf's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I was hoping for Ripple to get home sooner so that she could make this thread, but I'll make it now since I'm getting PM's about it. 13 men and woman stood in an unconscious circle, all focused on the four men in the middle. Two men stood ready to duel, their seconds at their shoulders. Lorien, the newest member of their crew, but one of the most knowledgeable had accused Lopen of the murder of Jack and the disappearance of Exisa. Few men put much stock in Lorien’s words, but they were backed up by Sam, the Lookout, one of the most trustworthy and senior of the crew. Facing them stood Lopen, proud and strong. Not much was known of the man, but that he was slow to anger, slow to forgive, and never forgot. He deliberated his words and deeds carefully. And had refuted Lorien’s accusations firmly. His second, in counterpoint to him, slouched behind him, hands in his pockets with an idle grin on his face. He’d been amused by the Shades, and appalled by the murders. Yon stepped forward, a blackened, scarred, wooden box held in his hands. He raised it, showing it to the entire crown with a ritual formality. Joseph stepped forward from the other side of the circle with equal seriousness. They met between the four men. Yon held out the box, and Joseph reverently lifted the lid and withdrew two identical Silver throwing daggers. He slowly walked around the circle, making sure everyone could see them. “You all know the works. When there’s a dispute of this nature, we leave it to the duel. This was set down by Magam the Slaughterer himself. Both men get to throw one dagger at the other.” Joseph handed a dagger to Yon. Both men approached the duelists and handed them a dagger. They led them away from each other, as the circle split, forming two lines to avoid collateral damage. Zas and Sam stepped away, leaving Lorien and Lopen alone. “Gentlemen,” rumbled Yon. “Face the wall.” Both combatants obeyed, Lopen suddenly, Lorien hesitantly. “After I say one, you may throw your dagger. You may not take longer than three heartbeats to throw your dagger. There are no other rules.” Joseph and Yon hurriedly joined the lines as well. “Five, four.” Lopen crouched, just slightly. Lorien glanced over his shoulder and bounced on the balls of his feet. “Three, two.” “One.” Lopen almost seemed to fall backwards, twisting sideways to throw his dagger while also ducking low, ending up crouching with his left hand on the ground and one one leg outstretched for balance. His dagger spun across the space between him and Lorien, embedding itself in the wall nearly a foot below his opponent. Lopen blinked in surprise as Lorien fell back to the ground from where he had leaped nearly five feet straight up. He landed off balance and pitched forward desperately tossing his dagger forward. He crashed into the floor, his dagger bouncing harmlessly off the floor halfway between them. Joseph and Sam both stepped forward and pulled Lorien to his feet as Lopen rose to full height under his own power. Yon looked between them, confirming both of their continued survival. “Right then. Both combatants have survived. The matter is considered resolved. Lopen is both a traitor, and not a traitor.” Joseph raised an eyebrow. “Remind me why we still follow Magam’s code?” “Because (S)Laughter is terrifiying.” Remember, there are no hints in the writeups. I only know my own role. If you're unsatisfied with your character as shown in the writeup, do some RP.- 346 replies

If there's a moderator with some spare time and sanity, the new update killed some of the writeups. Like this one. I don't know how many others, but somebody with locked thread editing privileges should go through and fix them. (I'd volunteer, but you'd have to trust me with the ability to edit the posts of others. (Though Seriously, I would volunteer happily))
