  1. Turn 2: Wealth in the Senate “Mesa propose, that the Senate, give immediately, emergency powers, to Senator Palpatine.” “Senator Alron, have you lost your mind?” Senator Alron smirked, shrugged and sat back down as other senators stood up, declaring that they should be the new governor, not Palpatine. Senators up and down the Senate chamber rose and yelled out their opinions. Chaos reigned, and was taken advantage of. A murderer slipped from their seat, slipped out of sight, and slipped a knife between the ribs of a woman. An accountant dipped his hands into a senator’s papers, examining their dealings. Boxings exchanged hands, drinks were poured, and deals were struck. Once the chatter fell still, Senator Oromis stood alone, wilting under the glares of nearly half the senate. He sighed as the Constables approached. “Can’t you all see that It’s Dyson? Dyson Trump is one of the murderers!” “Senator Oromis, you are under arrest for crimes against the city of Elendel. Clancy, Heatherlocke, take him below for interrogation.” The senate sat in sickening silence as they awaited the verdict. They could hear yells and pleas for mercy as their the former senator was brutally interrogated. After ten horrifying minutes of listening, a constable entered the room. He stood before the Governor's podium, holding a bloody sheet of paper. “Thank you all for your cooperation. Senator Oromis has confessed to several small crimes he has committed, and will be held below the building until the Governor’s murderer’s are found. Unfortunately, he did not Confess to being party to the plot against the governor.” “Thank you.” Rippleglyf was murdered! ThatTinyStrawMan was arrested! He was a Senator! 2. Do we have to add Meta to our PM's? You can if you want to, but you don't have to. He has expressed a desire to see what's going on, so I will be adding him to all pm's eventually, but I enjoy waiting till there's a dozen or so and adding him to them all at once just to mess with him.
  3. There was a game like the first mechanic once. It was the one based on the Hunger Games. The only win condition was last man standing, and that game was intense. Teams were made and betrayed, Lies were told and lives were ruined. It was fun. The GM and Impartial Mod would of course, moderate the added rules. Nothing to gamebreaking would be added. But I'm not so sure that's even necessary. A lot of the players here, myself included, play for the challenge. I wouldn't vote for a rule that made the game easier for my team and harder for the other. So the spectators would be a third neutral faction? Would spectators be kill able?
  4. You'd need at least 30 players for this to work with ten orders. A lot more than thirty for this to work well. Maybe half the number of orders? Would people play a game without factions? There would still be roles, but rather than the win condition being eliminate the other faction, the win condition would be 'Be one of the last Four players alive.' A lot could be done with a game like that. Also, What do people think of players voting on rules? One of the mechanics I decided not to use for the current senate game was that players could propose rules in the thread, and a majority vote of players would implement the rule. Rules could add new items, change victory conditions, or anything the players wanted. Would either of these mechanics work in a game?
  5. There are at least 30 bags of boxings in the game. You do not know how many are currently in the hands of Constable Heatherlocke. And because this has been asked several times, not everyone started with boxings and a item. Some have one or the other. The maximum starting amount of boxings is unknown.
  6. So kaymyth and third gen borh know the answer, but won't say it. I'm done. Last hint; the name starts with an 'A' and ends with a 'rcher'.
  7. Eh true. The name of the show is a synonym for someone who fires a bow.
  8. No. Is this show just more obscure than it thought it was?
  9. That's the problem with winning, isn't it? The guessing is the fun part.
  10. It's an animated TV Show with very base humour.
  11. Turn 1: A Murder in the Senate Constable-General Yosef of the First Precinct straightened his uniform and holstered his baton. He looked over himself with a critical eye in the Governor's mirror. He needed to look perfect for this. He could ill afford to cast shame on the Governor's reputation. Satisfied with his uniform, he turned to face the Governor, and his long time friend. Matthew Machmuller had done much good in his time in power. He had established cities, built canals, forged laws and cast down corruption. He could have retired several years ago and been remembered a hero, the greatest Governor since the Lord Mistborn himself. Admittedly, that only required being better than the previous two governors, but it was still a nice title. There was a knocking at the door. Machmuller glanced up from his work but continued writing. “Yosef, see who it is.” “Of course sir.” He marched to the door and cracked it open. His assistant, Heatherlocke, stood at attention on the other side. Heatherlocke saluted. “All twenty-two senators and their aides have arrived sir. They are ready to begin the conference whenever the Governor wishes to see them.” “Good. Stay there. I’ll inform him.” Yosef closed the door and walked back to the desk. “You heard that I assume?” “Of course I did.” Matthew put the quill down on the desk and straightened up in his seat, lifting his glass of wine as he did. “Do you think we’ll get them Yosef?” “Of course we will sir. These twenty-two are the only ones who have been rumoured to be corrupt. If they are, we’ll find them.” Machmuller smiled and raised his glass. “To prosperity in Elendel.” He tipped his glass and drank deeply. He sighed as he finished and stood, putting the glass back on the desk. “I’d offer you a drink, but you’d refuse as always.” “Of course sir. An officer on duty is to remain sober at all times.” “Spoilsport.” He walked around the desk, then grunted, nearly stumbled, and grabbed onto the corner to support himself. “Rust.” “Sir? Are you ok?” “No,” he grabbed at his chest, “No I’m not okay. Something’s wrong.” Yosef reached an arm out to support him, but before he could, Machmuller fell to his knees, grabbed his stomach and vomited. He coughed and fell to one side. “Sir! We need to get you to a hospital right away! Heatherlocke! Get in here!” “No. . .” The Governor wheezed in another breath. “Poisoned. . . Find my killers. . . They have to be here. . . The Wine. . .” “I. . . Of course sir.” “At least. . . the wine. . . was good.” He smiled as his eyes drifted shut, and he breathed out one last painful breath. The door was slammed open, and Heatherlocke ran in followed by the two constables who had been guarding the door. “Sir! What’s happening- Harmony!” They all stopped in their tracks. Yosef slowly rose to his feet, quivering with barely contained rage. He turned to face the trio of Constables, and drew himself up to his full height. “Heatherlocke, Wilson. Guard the Door. Nobody come inside this room. Nobody. Direct them to me. Clancy, come with me.” The Constables saluted and fell in behind him as he strode out of the room. Patience relaxed in his chair as he watched the other senators mill about, idling chatting about inconsequential things, unknowing that their governor wouldn’t be coming to greet them. A simple, painless death. A heart attack in his old age. There would be some suspicions, but nothing could be proven. He and his fellows would be free to scheme in peace. Especially once he took the chair of the Governor. The double doors behind the Governor’s podium were pushed open, and a group of constables marched out, batons in hand. Patience leaned forward, suddenly tense as they lined up in front of the governor’s desk, facing the suddenly silent senators. The Constable-General stepped forward and cleared his throat. “You were asked here today by Governor Matthew Machmuller, in order to root out corruption in the ranks of the Senate. The Governor had a plan to do so, but that is no longer relevant. He was poisoned less than an hour ago, and lies dead in his office.” He turned, and began to walk slowly across the dias where the Governor’s chair podium sat. “His dying request was for me to find his killers I will be doing so. As of now, this building is in lockdown. I sent out messages to the other generals, and constables have been streaming in. Nobody will be entering or exiting this building, until the murderers have been found.” He reached the end of the dias, and spun about. “We will be talking with each of you privately, asking you your whereabouts, and doings since arriving here. During that time, you may feel free to tell us anything about any of the other senators that might be relevant to the Investigation. Once we believe we have enough evidence to arrest you, Constable Wilson will escort you to the Holding cells beneath this building, where Constable Heatherlocke will keep you under lock and key.” The General spun to face the constables on stage. “Go.” As the Constable began to stream off the desk, each one heading for a different senator, Patience crushed the armrest of his chair in his fist. “Rust and Ruin. This is going to be a long day.” Metacognition was killed! Turn one has begun! It will end exactly Twenty-Four hours from this posting. Living/Unarrested Players Turn 1: Dead Players: Final note, When I read your action PM's, and add them to my spread sheet, I will send you a PM saying 'Noted.' If I don't say 'Noted', please wait 6 or so hours and send me another PM, just to make sure I saw your action. Happy murdering!
