Here's a question that might have been answered elsewhere, Could Vasher remove the breath that is in nightblood? There is a WOB about removing breath from a lifeless and why it doesn't work: Here: So if we consider Nightblood to be sentient (seeing as he talks and stuff) then the answer would be no. Also if Vasher thought awakened steel was too dangerous for the world to know about, why hasn't he removed the breath from it already? My inclination is to say that no he can't remove the breath although I think it would be cool in the next book to have Szeth running around with Nightblood slaying "evil" as Nightblood tends to do and then Zahel/Vasher taking the breath back and leaving Szeth befuddled with a really ordinary sword.

She also might not have to get rid of it. There are bound to be differences between Honorspren and Liespren and given the fact that Syl is an Honorspren and the pattern that shallan is bonded to is a Liespren one of these differences could be the deciding factor in which KR are allowed to use shardblades. We know from WoK that at least some KR do get to use shardblades. Also I'm not sure if anyone knows why we weren't given chapter 7 during this weeks prerelease but who knows maybe it's because Brandon didn't want to give us Shallan's big reveal until the release of the book Edited because I suck at grammar.

It could also be that these other soldiers do have a bond with a spren and are simply in training to become knights radiant. Note the scene in WoK where Kaladin says the second ideal. Just a few paragraphs later, This, at least to me, seems to suggest that the ideals of the knights radiant and their orders weren't something taught they were something that one found for themselves. I would argue that these other soldiers had nahel bonds but hadn't found all of the ideals yet, thus they glowed much more faintly than the full radiant. EDIT: the above quotes are from chapter 67
