  1. Do we know if this is a self-contained story or the first of a series?
  2. Thanks @Feruchemal Panda, she's new to the family and already settling in! Jax's ears look so soft!
  3. Don't tell my partner... but yes... yes they are
  4. And this is Poco, she comes home 4/4
  5. New best coworker ever!
  6. This “chicken” (flicker), on the other hand, socially distanced as soon as it was freed... IMG_1091.MP4
  7. SOMEONE doesn’t mind social distancing at all...
  8. Welcome to the Shard @smiddle2156!
  9. You should be just fine. There are a number of ways to read through the series... I'd suggest taking a look at the Cosmere Roadmap
  10. Check out the latest Cosmere Roadmap to guide future reading order...
  11. Also, @Leiliel, way to lean into the blasphemy with your username...
  12. Welcome Friend! It's good to have you on the Shard. Also - WOW, that was a wicked fast read of Warbreaker! And yes, OreSeur is beloved by too few.
  13. Seems reasonable to me that Odium could simply have found a way to kill the vessels, then blocked/shielded the shards from being picked up until they Splintered - particularly if he had a mortal servant of particularly high power near the site of the dropped shard to act as his servant.
  14. BAHAHAHAHA. That's a storming fine compliment if ever I've heard one.
  15. Hype is right!!
  16. Welcome to the Shard! Now the real rabbit hole is opened to you...

  17. I get a lot of questions from friends/family about what order to read the Cosmere in. There are a lot of 'roadmaps' out there, but most are rather old/out of date. I thought I'd share with the Shard the roadmap I put together (thanks for the inspo, whoever created this) for my loved ones. Note: This is current only up through February 2020 and does not contain several minor works. Edit: Updated per comments below. Edit 2: Posted to Reddit under Jadorel78 and updated 6/2020 Cosmere Roadmap - June 2020.pdf
  18. Thanks all!
  19. In chapter 60 in TWoK, Dalinar agrees not to abdicate to Adolin in exchange for an order, notarized by his highest scribe and witnessed by Elhokar, giving Adolin the authority to depose him at any time if his mind sufficiently deteriorates. While it’s not briefly mentioned, this seems a HUGE Chekhov’s Gun as a lynchpin for Dalinar’s decision with huge potential to shift fate. What do my fellow Sharders think? Could this be a huge boon, allowing a new leader of the shattered coalition to emerge in Adolin? Or the key to a brutal blow to Dalinar’s forces when Adolin deposes him in a critical moment?
  20. They are absolutely glowing/lit from within somehow... Time to start digging!
  21. And he nailed the symbol for 9 aligning with the Stonewards...
  22. Yep! Here's the article and a link to the portrait directly.
  23. Alright Sharders, I know it's a long shot - but the payoff would certainly be worth it. I've spent some time combing over the gorgeous portrait of Taln by Donato Giancola released by Tor today. As I was drawn into the piece, I couldn't stop staring at the glyphs etching the top step he's standing upon. A cursory search turned up no in-world glyphs, but I'm hoping I've missed something you can help us find. Does anyone have any insights into the particular language etched here? Or any insights as to possible meaning? Or else confirmation that the inimitable Donato created these glyphs with his artistic license so I can sleep tonight?
