Brandon gave some more clarification on the SP4 protagonist, for some last-minute theorizing:

Hoid's officially off the list. Somebody who has had viewpoints, though; that's new, right?

Shards, I want this to be Marsh. Plus he will be in The Lost Metal and this will more than likely occur after that.

  2. Brandon has said that Zahel(Vasher) was doing "something" in RoW but it didn't in the narrative in the book and he will try to publish it at some point. Could he have spent some time in this "cemetery" preparing to assist? There is obviously something special about this place that will play a role.

Does "Ba-Ado-Mishram" mean "child of the light of Cultivation and Honor"?

    Brandon Sanderson

RAFO, but you're doing a pretty good job picking apart the linguistics of that.

Due to this WoB I’m leaning toward BAM is a Soren of ALL three Shards would are invested on Roshar.

" To make such Commands, one must have the reasoning—the breadth of understanding—of a deity "

Yes, it seems to me that to fully use a Dawnshard or a Command, one must be a Vessel. Or something along that line.

And that is probably why they said she can’t bond a Spren. It would give her part of a “deity” and alllw her access to the power. Or at least that is how I took it.

I doubt it will play out this way, but I'm kind of hoping Lezian the Pursuer just gets repeatedly clowned every time he takes a run at Kaladin.

I think this is when Kal will swear the 4th Ideal. When he comes at his back he swears and plate forms protecting him. He then commenced to kick major butt.

  6. Sounds like 4th level Radiants have power levels that can’t be contained. I think this is foreshadowing Kal teaching it during a fight with the Pursuer.

Also, Navani will bond the Sibling after they infiltrate Urithiru. That will stop them from corrupting the tower. I think she will go all bad @ss and become a Bondsmith.

WOB - "This is the last we'll see of Rock in the book, I'm afraid. I really hope to be able to do the Rock novella sometime in the next few years to trace his course, but one of the things I forced myself to do in this series is keep the focus on the main storylines and characters." :( Today on Reddit

As sad as this chapter was, this is the saddest part. I can’t even go back and reread it knowing this is Rocks last moment for awhile. Hopefully. I really hoped he would’ve stayed around for the long haul. I understand Bridge Four evolving and changing but for him to leave, while Kal is at his lowest makes me hurt. He is doing the right thing, what he needs to do, but I can’t imagine what Kal is thinking knowing he may never see him again.

i wonder if being retired is good or bad for kaladin. for any other soldier with the same problem it would be good, but given kaladin's peculiar issues, losing his purpose may take away the only thing that was keeping him up

Correct but this will push him from mainly Protecting to Leading.

But why would Dalinar send a depressed, emotionally wounded highmarshal into Shadesmar? Kaladin is still useful to train troops and inspire soldiers.

Kal already said how hard it would be to do this and then watch them go off to battle without him. That is why Dalinar is giving him 10 days to think.

Both very good predictions, love this

If Kaladin ends up being the Envoy that goes with Shallan and Adolin to meet with the Honorspren, his swearing could happen in Shadesmar. How would that work with the powerup? We've only seen a swearing of an Oath/Ideal on the Physical Realm and not the Cognitive. Would he somehow manifest plate there?

    2. Well, we know why the Honorspren aren’t bonding any more Radiants, but does anyone have any guesses on what will convince them to change their minds?

I think it is two part. First is Kaladin saying the 4th oath. Second is Rlain bonding his Spren.

Kaladin reaching the next Ideal shows humans can reach that level of "commitment". Also, with Rlain it shows that the humans and Singers can unite together against Odium and they aren't necessarily using the power against each other.
